Barnaby came in with his family of 4 other cats. We were told they all came out of a very challenging situation with the house having to be fumigated and the owner rehomed and allowed to keep only one of their 6 cats.

Of all the Cats Barnaby looks washed out, with an eye infection so we went to our vets yesterday and we are treating his left eye for infection. We are pleased there is no ulcer present. We are re-worming him and we have sent full range of bloods off for analysis to ensure we capture anything amiss should it be there. Barnaby came in chipped but his chip wasn't registered so we are guessing his age. Our Vet said maybe about 10 yrs.

Barnaby was wonderful in the Vet displaying a relaxed, amenable and exceptional temperament. He took everything injections, prolonged blood extraction, eye inspection and drops, teeth inspection, temperature from the rear! All in good faith and won us all over as a very special cat. He is tall and rather wonderful and purrs when ever held and loves to cuddle up.

Barnaby was catching some sunshine today, and despite the shock of coming into rescue and battling an eye infection, he was loving having a nice stroke with the grooming glove, and certainly made himself known when the treats were being shared out! Can't wait to see this handsome senior gentleman again soon! Video below is Barnaby having a groom.

Barnaby is a placid and very regal senior cat who likes to sit on the perch in his pen and view his roommates. His poorly eye is healing up and he was very happy to have some cuddles when I visited yesterday - here's a couple of videos. He has a beautiful temperament, and happily sits for ages being pampered. His new family will be rewarded with his lovely nature and his royal presence in their household!

I had the pleasure of meeting Barnaby today - what a little sweetie! He was straight on my lap for lots of purrs and cuddles. A very affectionate boy.

Barnaby seems to be starting to feel better with his poorly eye, and as soon as he heard me rattling the bag of treats he came straight out of his sleeping quarters to make sure he didn't miss out! He is such a serene and gentle cat, loves strokes and head scratches, and I think he would have sat there all day being stroked! No biting or hissing here, just a gentle old gent who appreciates some loving and deserves someone to give him oodles of love love4.gif
Here is a video of some strokes today.
