Mollykins' Story: Mollykins was found abandoned and unclaimed within an East London council pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Mollykins will be neutered, chipped, and is fully vaccinated. Mollykins came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Mollykins's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.

Original referral information: 18.12.23: Mollykins came to us around the 27th November and soon after that was in season. Her chip is unregistered. So we think she’s aged between 4? years old approx, but that’s an estimate.

She’s up to date with her worming and has been receiving advocate. She will be fully vaccinated as off the 27/12/2023.

She’s toilet trained & she is kennel cleaned due to her routine; she is let out of her kennel to have her food, then gets to have a walk in the park. (Twice a day) Has been having a mixture of Royal Canine Gastro biscuits and Chappie tins.

She’s quite affectionate and likes the attention.
She’s normally calm in the kennels, but if we take another dog out (and not her) she can get a little jealous.
She slobbers a LOT :-)

She’s 60kg, so a strong dog and can be stubborn. Loves to eat grass, will chase squirrels if she could or try to drag you along to catch said squirrel.

However, she’s pretty chilled out and for such a strong dog, we do not find it difficult to walk her.
We’ve had smaller dogs that have been harder to walk because of the constant pulling. (She’s not that bad)

As per the photos, she has been dog tested with the following dogs:

5 months old black male puppy cross Lab
5 years old entire male GSD
White female Jack Russell cross
2 years old Blue/Tan Female Bully
Tan/Brown Entire male cross breed (the emaciated boy)
I’ll be able to send you all the videos we have taken of her with the 5 dogs above by WhatsApp. And then Lynne will be able to see her. (The videos are too large for me to attach in an email)

Thanks,
Jen Dog Warden

Mollykins will come into RescueRemedies as soon as we have space

Thank you Lynne, I honestly can't tell you how much this helps.

We tested her with yet another dog (male bulldog) all went well. I've added some photos to show you,

I only got to meet Mollykins briefly this week but is a very placid, affectionate girl.

I was lucky enough to take Mollykins on a walk yesterday and what a lovely walk it was. Mollykins really is the full package. She is a gentle giant who has the most amazing calmness about her. She loves, people and dogs and has a wonderful balance of showing her pleasure whilst knowing when to just chill and carry on when other dogs show a little too much excitement. Mollykins walks so well on need, no pulling and is a real credit to the pound she has come from who have done an amazing job of setting this dog up to be the version of herself. Molly’s only weakness is small furies and when she saw Georgie the cat she was a little bit too interested, apparently she is also rather fond of squirrels although I have seen far worse and the few I spied on her walk she clearly didn’t as she was calm as a cucumber the whole walk. Mollykins really is a just big lump of love and will be an amazing addition into a big dog loving house. bighug.gif Kiss of love.gif

Scott and I had the pleasure of walking Mollykins and what an amazing gentle giant she is. She is super friendly and walks lovely on the lead, she plods along nicely checking in with you every so often. Obviously she is a big girl and if she wants to pull she can and is strong so needs a strong confident handler. I have no doubt this beautiful girl will get her forever home soon because she’s a perfect all round dog for those people that want and love big dogs. 🥰

Oh my goodness Mollykin’s is just lovely love4.gif she is every big dog lovers dream and all of our big dog lovers have totally fallen in love with this darling girl, scrap that I reckon all RR dog walkers have fallen in love with her love4.gif
So as Tam says this girl is the most perfect gentle giant, super friendly and just wants to make friends with everyone and everything thumbs.gif
I was absolutely blown away by this sweet girls kindness yesterday, Emma and I headed out on a walk and we were joined by darling little Otto and his walker Anne. Otto is an absolute sweetheart but rather inexperienced and so who better to enjoy a lovely social walk with than Mollykin’s thumbs.gif This girl, I really don’t know her background but oh my goodness her dog skills are amazing thumbs.gif so Otto was rather anxious and a little bit noisy, but Mollykin’s radiated calm and happy vibes which in turn calmed Otto down and it was so lovely to see Otto calm down and take such comfort from this big, beautiful girl.
We enjoyed a super long walk and Mollykin’s was an angel throughout, she was absolutely desperate to make friends with Otto and every now and again she would do the most amazing, super bouncy jumps, but calming down instantly when asked thumbs.gif
Mollykin’s is a darling, an absolute credit to the pound that she came from and I’m sure that her most perfect forever home is just around the corner thumbs.gif love4.gif

Oh the beautiful Molls! She was so much more happier today than when I walked her last week!! Happy to see me bouncy when out the kennel but not unmanageable.

She just LOVES everyone and anyone! She’s is an amazing dog! Just forgets her size at times lol but loves cuddles and kisses if you don’t mind all the slobber 🤤
