I took my chance today to walk the little live wire Olive and what a delight she was.

I was doubtful at first that we would make it into the woods for a plan walk and her attention was drawn to the cats area and she was standing on her back legs like a meerkat intent on watching the cat antics.

With a little cheesy treat to catch her attention I focussed her back on a walk and we entered the woods with a spritely little skip in her step.

Despite plenty of mud and puddles more like steams Olive took this all in her stride and didn’t shy away from our little adventure.

After a fair old walk for little legs she let me know she was ready to return and we retraced our steps. Once back in the reception area we came across another terrier about to go for a walk with a squeaky toy and Olive was quite taken with the scene, showing us her waggy little tail.

I look forward to our next fun outing little Olive.

I walked Olive for the first time yesterday - it was only a short walk as she had already been taken out earlier during the day. She needs little outings as she is in a part of the rescue where she does not see many people and she is a very sociable little dog. She was delighted to see me and we had a great time in the woodland walk - she loves to sniff in typical terrier fashion and walks quickly as she does so.

I know dogs adapt to having only one eye but it must have been quite hard on her coping with the operation and learning to cope with one eye vision - the operation was essential - and so I take my hat off to this little dog coping as she has done.

Once she has settled in the right home this little dog will be an absolute delight. Kiss of love.gif

I took her out for a little walk today as I hadn’t put her on the list and only had a short amount of time left. She’s a very sweet girl and once we got walking she trotted along beside me. I agree Helen that it must be quite an adjustment for her, managing after an op, one eye and in a new setting. Lovely Olive. ❤️

Olive and me popped out on a little terrier train today with the lovely Mika x she was very easy to get ready, leads on and off we went! We went along the bridle path, bumped into another couple of dogs and stood to one side for a horse! She was so good on her walk x she’s currently not allowed treats, due to upset belly, but she didn’t miss them! Super cute x

Yes, Olive is a favourite little terrier of mine that I enjoy walking x she’s quick on her paws, loves a tennis ball and was quite happy to carry one with her today on her walk, after finding it whilst sniffing by the bench while we waited on the other terriers to join the walk! Today she walked with Spencer and Tess! All 3 got on well, walking happily along the road and then onto the bridle path. None of them like the mud, so Spencer was happy to find the driest cleanest route back to kennels, which Olive happily followed xxx

Little Olive is just too cute! We went on a lovely walk today with Spencer and William x it was quite a long walk too as Spencer decided the route! Olive was happy to walk at the front, behind and in the middle of both dogs. She is a great little terrier and in the right home she will flourish x just love her Kiss of love.gif Kiss of love.gif

We walked Olive with Rocco on Friday. Last time they were super interested in each other and it was all a bit energetic. This time they were both quite calm, must have remembered each other and the novelty worn off? She was a little angel. So good walking on the lead. Not so keen on the mud, so I carried her through a few patches. Quite willing to be picked up and go under my arm. Responds to her name very quickly. An absolute pleasure to walk. I might have described them both as ‘perfect patterdales’ 0002.gif] love4.gif
