Edda's Story: Edda's mother Sally came into our care very pregnant; the father was a resident Frenchie Grey/Merle. Edda was born with her sister and brother via caesarean. Edda shows strong Patterdale likeness as her sister Hilda. Her brother Norman shows strong likeness to his father, the Frenchie. Rescue Remedies offered her mother a Rescue place saving her life. Edda will be neutered when old enough, is chipped, and fully vaccinated. Edda was in foster with 3 other dogs whilst awaiting her new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Edda's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Edda was born on and came into RescueRemedies on 6th November 23.

Do we have a recent photo for Edda? I don't imagine she looks like a little bat any more!
Re: Edda Frenchie x Pattie DofB 06.11.23 Holloway London
Yes, Paul, they are a bit bigger now! For several weeks they didn't seem to grow very much but now they look like tiny Patterdales. When they went for chip and first vax the vet said they were very healthy and very happy.
Edda is already very much a terrier girl and a shade more aloof than her sister. She is clearly very bright.

Edda went for second vax yesterday and made friends all round. She now weighs 4.32kg.

A week after second vax and it's time to go out in the world. Edda was the confident pup today and interested in what was going on ...
Yes, she does have a harness on ... it just happens to be black!

If you want the full-on terrier puppy experience Edda is the girl for you! She is growing up fast but there are still plenty of puppy moments to enjoy. Edda is that typical terrier mix of fizzing self-confidence and shy, loving snuggles. She likes people, especially men – recent visits from the roofers were particularly popular - and she is quite forward about approaching dogs.
As regards the home team, well, Yushi is totally besotted – puzzled teenager – and she takes advantage of his gentle good nature by stealing his toys and gripping his fur. If he, in turn, tries to get his way by gripping her there will be an intervention from Mae. On the other hand, Edda has to watch her step with Mae who can be quite strict when it comes to puppy silliness. Freddie, of course, insists on respect and is only now grudgingly accepting of Edda's company.
What do you get if you cross a terrier with a bull breed? Yes, Edda does a very good impression of a mini Staffie! She is very smart and, now that the wider world is more in focus, learning so much. Her latest project is trying to open doors by standing on her hind legs and rattling the handle.
So, if you need your life organised 24/7 by a small, waggy dynamo, please consider Edda. She will make you smile every day ...
