Pixie's Story: Pixie was found abandoned and unclaimed within a East Midlands council pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Pixie is now be neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Pixie came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Pixie arrived today in a much healthier condition the the picture above on first being found.

She easily paired up with Sprite and I have witnessed them playing together in their new room. Pixie will be spayed in Wednesday 27th Dec in preparation to homing.

Here they are selecting Christmas presents

I met Pixie today, and walked her with her companion Sprite, and Jan. Pixie is a very lovely dog, very quiet and easy to walk. She has a lovely demeanor and is very gentle. Both dogs walked beautifully together and would make a smashing pair to live together.

Pixie enjoyed her walk today - she set a good pace, occasionally stopping to check Sprite was OK. She showed a friendly interest in other dogs and people, but listened well and was distracted easily. Looking forward to walking with this sweet girl again.

Yesterday Pixie and other dogs joined me to travel into Central London to attend a Vet Training day. This was a very special day as it was for 3 or 4 Vets to use specialised Equipment to examine and record the inside of the eyes. It involved them having drops to dilate the pupils and then be dark conditions for 2 hours with the vets wearing red lamps. They examined the eye and attached a contact lens to the left eye first, then right eye then used a hand-held, computerised machine. They needed a model patient to not only patiently acquaint themselves with an audience but then for over an hour to be passive during an intrusive examination in the dark.

Pixie was exceptional and her Vets fell deeply in love with her.

Walked Pixie a few times she. is a good walker apart when she sees a squirrel then hold on but she doesn't weigh much so all is good. she has a little curly coat so very easily to manage. a warm sofa to sit on walks and food thats all she would ask for
