Terry's Story: Terry was found abandoned and unclaimed within a Western council pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Terry is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Terry came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Terry's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.

Original referral information: We were asked to choose from 4 dogs who were sadly losing their lives as there were no Rescue Places available. We took all 4.

Terry came into RescueRemedies on the 26th Nov 23 and again on the 1st Sept 24

Terry is full of energy and fun. He is such a friendly boy and I loved sharing time with him. He is really good on the lead and although he was happy to go off and explore independently in the paddock, if I called him he came straight over to me. He has lots of energy so needs a family who will enjoy lots of time out walking and exploring.

Such a lovely little boy! I was lucky enough to walk him on Tuesday. So straightforward and easy! Easy to harness. Walks nicely on the lead. Good with other dogs. Keen to say hello to people.
He looks back with that beautiful little face for reassurance and cuddles periodically on the walk. 🥰 I also love that Terry's markings round his eyes make him look like he’s wearing beautifully applied winged eyeliner 🤣

What a lovely boy Terry is. He was really a dream, friendly in his kennel, easy to walk, patient when I stood and had a 10 minute chat with Lloyd. No reaction at all to any dogs just pottered on past. Checks in lots, his little face wrinkles are the cutest. love4.gif love4.gif

Terry comes back into our Care tomorrow 1st September 24. He has lost his home due to change of circumstances - no fault of his own.

So, Terry's a babe!

Met him today and took him for a walk. Total sweetheart, from beginning to end. He's got the wiggliest bottom ever! thumbs.gif

First, he made friends with King through the fence. Doesn't surprise me as they both have similarly adorable temperaments.

We followed Bleu and Sapphire. Terry enjoyed his sniffs and then hurried to catch up with the others. I think he may have been keener on Sapphire than she was on him! He walked more calmly when he was on his own or walking in front of the others.

Once back at the kennels we had kisses and cuddles and despite his predicament, he aeemed a happy boy.

How very sad that Terry is back in a kennel. He should still be having cuddles on a sofa. He's clearly a wonderful dog. I hope he's not here for long.
