I love Selwyn, he is such a lovely natured boy. I haven't walked for a few weeks and it was so lovely to see him again and I was treated to cuddles and a face wash on entering his kennel love4.gif
We had a relaxed and steady walk with Selwyn doing lots of sniffing as usual although he did take the chance to grab a bit of horse poo but was easily pulled away 😉
I hope there is a big dog family out there searching for a new family member soon as Selwyn will fit in a treat!

Selwyn and I have had so much fun since my last post, he is the most loving and affectionate boy and is always so excited to see me and I’m always greeted with the biggest cuddle and kisses ♥️.

Selwyn loves being with his walker and enjoys walking with others. Selwyn likes to lead the walk, but has to regularly make sure everyone is still with him.

When we are walking solo he loves to run and explore the woods.

Selwyn is just a pleasure to be with and seeing him so happy, just brings a smile to your face and it’s hard to not fall in love with this special boy ♥️.

Recently Selwyn encountered a herd of cows in a field and he was just amazing, I’m so proud of this boy.

For the right family they special boy will give so much love and companionship ♥️

Selwyn rounded off my selection "big dog" walks today.

I made the usual mistake of kneeling down in his run to say hello and put his harness on, and got promptly pounced on! 0002.gif]

We had a few moments of silliness at the start of the walk (he was just a litle over excited to be out I think) but once he had got that out his system, he completed our walk beautifully. For a good part of it we had Sully (with Jude) and Sidley (with Anne) with us - Selwyn had to be in front though of course!

Another great walk with Selwyn today - he's a lovely boy. love4.gif

Not much new to report, and what I am about to you may decide you didn't really need to know, but here goes... Selwyn will often look up and gaze deep into your eyes while he's doing a poo! 0002.gif]

Despite the rain this morning selwyn was still pleased to see me and head off on our walk.
We had a bit of a run today which he enjoyed and as always he behaved perfectly thumbs.gif
Wonderful boy for a large dog experienced family love4.gif

Selwyn and I had a lovely walk into and around the village today.

A chap gave us (well, Selwyn, I presume!) a "Wow!" as he passed slowly on his bicycle and then stopped to say Hello properly - he is familiar with RR and apparently has recently submitted a Walker Questionnaire. thumbs.gif We chatted for a couple of minutes and Selwyn stood calmly by my side, offering our new friend some gentle hand-licks at one point.

We had barely moved on when we stood to one side to allow a ride-on mower that was cutting the grass edges on the pavement to pass at a safe distance. This chap then also stopped, turned off his engine and struck up a conversation about my walking companion. As before, I was happy to oblige and again, Selwyn waited patiently while we chatted.

It was quite clear that Selwyn made quite an impression on both his new friends - well done boy! love4.gif

I haven’t posted in a while due to being away and I missed spending time with this most special boy, but was very happy to see how well behaved and loving he has been with his other walkers.

We were both very excited to see each other, but to be honest we are always excited to see each other love4.gif

Selwyn always greets me with the biggest hug and kisses, he is such an affectionate boy.

I’m so proud of Selwyn and how far he has come since being at RR and he is such a well behaved boy, who loves to spend time with his walker.

He loves to run and also loves walking with other dogs, where he enjoys leading the group and will keep checking to make sure we are still together.

He is fantastic with traffic and in all walking environments, not much fazes him at all.

He has the most beautiful smile and loves a cuddle every now and then throughout his walk and I love seeing how happy he is when you tell him he is a good boy.

Selwyn would make the best loving and loyal companion for the right family with big dog experience Kiss of love.gif Kiss of love.gif

I look forward to my walk every weekend with Selwyn.
He has settled in to the most amazing lad who is such an easy walk. He doesn't react badly to anything when we are out and generally walks along with slack leads.
So yesterday we added a new friend to his group. Emma met and walked Selwyn and he has wormed his way into another's heart love4.gif
