Bobb's Story: Bobb has grown up with his parents and a pack. He wasn't sold as a pup and his breeder found she had too many dogs to cope with so asked for help. We took Bobb and his mother Sadie and uncle Billy in. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place when no others could help. Bobb will be neutered, chipped, and undergoing vaccinations. Bobb came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Bobb's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.

Original referral information: Hi I just called you my name is Amy at the moment we have 3 dogs that the person I'm helping will definitely relinquish

Sadie (the one having a cuddle) she is 2 years old no microchip and unspayed she had her puppy jabs but no boosters, she has had 2 litters of puppies her last ones where 12weeks ago and all are now homed. Sadie is a sweet girl although slightly nervous, not good with cats she tries to chase them.
The second is Bobb her son he is 1 on the 16th of October 22 he is also very sweet natured he enjoys walks.
Billy who I haven't got a picture of is the same sort of dog he is Sadie litter brother so he is also 2years old and unneutered Billy is slightly more nervous, a slight grumble on occasion nothing more

All are unneutered and could benefit from some basic training they are sweet natured neither boys have had vaccinates at all and none are microchipped. all are a variation of springer& cocker, x Jack Russel & mini poodle

I hope you can help Thankyou A x

Bobb came into RescueRemedies on the 14th October 23

Bobb is just 1 and emotional to anything new. He however does settle and better on his own as he can just live off his mother and uncles excitement. Had the very great pleasure of handling Bob through the vets this week when he was neutered, chipped and 1st vaccinated. He settled well travelling initisally by himself and coming back to the kennels in a crate with his uncle Billy.

Today he came out twice into the sunshine . Once for photos with Anne and then for his cat test.

Bobb came out for a walk with Tinkerbelle today. He was a little timid to start with but with some reassurance from Patrick he had a lovely walk around the common.
Very easy boy

Bobb is a real sweetie - unsure and nervous at present but he does enjoy human contact and walks. When I first went into the room he shares with Sadie, the noise of the barking from both of them was quite loud and lasted for a while. It was only my 2nd time in there after a space of about a week so they didn't really know me. (I had previously walked Sadie with 2 other walkers with Bobb and Billie (the latter was since homed)). I gave both him and Sadie some sausage, then picked up Bobb's trailing lead and he stood patiently for me while I put my lead on his collar, even though Sadie was trying to jump up us both and barking. Once out, Bobb was keen to walk and his tail was wagging but as he could still hear Sadie, he kept stopping to listen and doing little squeaks and whines himself. When we were out of earshot he calmed down a bit, relieved himself in the woods and had a little sniff about. We had a lovely relaxing time sitting in the 'Poets' Hut' watching the downpour - Bobb sat on the sofa with me and then climbed onto my lap for cuddles. He did continue to squeak and whine at times but I could tell he enjoyed being stroked. He was happy to return to Sadie so it was quite easy to get back into the room without Sadie escaping as they were busy saying hello to each other.
The dynamic was different when I returned to the room, possibly as Sadie saw that Bobb had been OK with me and she could now could trust me? Whatever the reason, she wasn't barking so much and neither was Bobb. Instead, Sadie was trying to jump up me for cuddles and then being a bit playful by trying to chew the leads. I spent quite a while standing in the room adjusting Sadie's harness before putting it on her, and there was minimal barking - they were just watching me with interest. Leaving the room with Sadie afterwards I simply threw some pieces of sausage into the far corner for Bobb to enjoy so he didn't try to follow us out. I went to the area outside their room twice later that day and they didn't bark at me at all, they simply stood quietly wagging their tails at me! Lovely little dogs - I look forward to our next walk!

What a dear little dog is Bobb! I have walked him a few times now, with Tricia walking his mum and pen mate Sadie. We keep our distance although the two dogs are happier when they can see each other but we continue to keep them well apart.

Bobb is beginning to know me and wags his little tail when he sees me. He is still noisy when I go into his pen but less so and is happy to have his harness put on after a few treats. He loves his walks and gets very excited when I enter his pen and go out into the woods. He walks quickly with obvious enjoyment. He will certainly need lots of human contact to teach him about the world as I get the impression he has not had too much of that.

The sooner this little, beautiful boy is in his own home the better. He will fill the lives of his future owners with a lot of fun and give them loads of love. He is quite small and very quick and so will need to be kept very safe in his home and outside. Kiss of love.gif
