Another fun walk with darling Diesel.

If I need a dog to accompany another dog, I always think of Diesel. He's not at all bothered by having a furry companion or two on his walk. This time we went out with lovely, little Murph.

Diesel was very happy to see me in his kennel and excited to get out there. He's very eager to get going and can be strong initially but once off-site, he slowed down and we had a very enjoyable walk.

Diesel was keen to splosh through every puddle we saw. He found a tree branch in our path and decided to take it with him before sensibly chomping it in half to make it more manageable.

Diesel often checks in with his walker; partly because he's a very good boy and partly (I think) because he wants to know if there's any food going. Diesel loves a snack!

Diesel is a wonderful, friendly, cute little chap and would make someone very happy. Diesel cuddles on the sofa? Yes please!

Always fun to be with this fun loving boy. Today he found a ball, so carried it the entire walk. Tail wagging excitedly all the way round the village as if to say ‘I got my ball’. Diesel always greets you like a long lost friend and is just adorable. I really enjoy our walks and always grabs people’s attention when out and about, with lots of fuss and smiles.

Had the pleasure of spending time with Diesel yesterday when he went for his annual check up and booster.
What a goon! So soft and affectionate. Strong in his determination to get there but he has learned to listen. With the vet he kept doing the perfect plonk sit even whilst she was filling the syringe to inject him! Treat focused and his mouth was smothering my hand to get at a chicken treat; he never noticed our vets motivation with her needle.

Thought I'd put this picture up of Diesel in the paddock at emergency kennels when I arrived one day. Diesel is the bestest of the best and we are hoping today is his day!

Oh my gosh best day ever for Diesel to meet his forever family. Can’t wait to hear how he is settling in. We took Diesel on a lovely walk and Diesel posed for a beautiful photo. I am so happy for this gorgeous hunk of chunk to spend his life with Emma and her lovely family!

We renamed him Dougal with that lovely nose and the gentle giant he is! He’s settled in really quickly with our routine. He’s enjoying 3 walks a day, new toys and cuddles I do have to persuade him to get off his bed for his early morning walk he’s a bit lazy in the mornings he walks to heel now with treats which is amazing he’s a fast learner! Dougal has slotted right into our family, we all adore him he loves sleeping on our son’s bed and has already found the sunny spot in our hallway

Dougal’s adventures…….this week he’s been to our local pub and been spoilt with dog biscuits from the bar! He was so well behaved and loved by everyone. His manners whilst we eat our food are amazing and he also waits for his food so patiently thank you Becki and the volunteers for all of the training and work you’ve done with Dougal! He’s enjoyed lots of snowy walks this week but still not used to our early starts he prefers to laze in bed and snore bless him! He loves to zoomy in our garden he’s so funny. He’s met a couple of our friends at home and enjoyed lots of fuss and attention it feels like he’s been with us for months not 2 weeks! we feel truly blessed to have him, our family is complete thank you so much x
