Walked the lovely Diesel today. He has come on leaps and bounds from being in the care of fosterers and it was proven by the relaxed lead walk and just the charm that is Diesel. I took him to the stream today where he could have drank it dry! Such a wonderful, loving dog.

I met the handsome Diesel for the first time on Sunday and what a fantastic friendly boy he is! He was very patient whilst his harness was sorted out and off we went for a walk. Diesel likes to get going, but once out of the Kennel area, he is so relaxed, doesn't pull on the lead and walks and listens really well!
We then spent some time in the paddock so he could have a run around and so I could take some lovely photos of this fantastic boy! He really is great, and I can't wait to have another walk with him.

Diesel was back for a weekend break. We had a lovely weekend and he enjoyed playing with his toys, snuggling and enjoying our walks. He had a bit of an upset tummy from something but was really good telling me he needed to go out. Took him to the pet shop a couple of times which he loves. His interest in wanting to chase cats has got a bit more but no different to other dogs.
On Sunday we went over to a friends house for a walk and to meet her husky again. We went off on a walk and they walked together well. Then when we got back we let them have there first off lead play and they were so good. They would drink water, lie down then run around chasing each other and then repeat this. It was so nice watching Diesel enjoy running around and playing. He was so tired and when we got home he sat down and that was it for the day.
Here is a youtube short of the fun they had:
Diesel found a tennis ball in their garden which is in his mouth and he is juggling playing and chewing the tennis ball.

Diesel is possibly the happiest dog you might ever meet. Always smiling! :) He is known to be a little bit of a puller on the lead, but as he is such a foodie, this could easily be corrected. I found that he pulled less on our walk yesterday, which must be from the work of his brilliant fosterers (thank you for saving my shoulder!) Diesel is great out and about and isn’t phased by other dogs or people. He enjoyed some blackberries whilst walking in the woodland and also a paddle in the stream. We headed back to the paddock where Diesel enjoyed playing with the ball. He is so eager to please his walker and I can’t help but smile when with him. Not sure how he hasn’t been snapped up yet?!

Diesel had fun at the weekend. Took him to the pub with my parents and as you can see from the pictures he was a good boy and enjoyed himself. He has also been good on his walks, coming to me when a dog/person is coming, sitting till they had gone past and not pulling as much. He hasn’t been crazy over-excited and we mostly spent the weekend cuddling and going on walks.
Next adventure is to go to beach.

Diesel has been with me for another longer break and he has been a very good boy. I have been off work so we have been on many day trips like going to the beach and long walks in Sussex. He loved the beach although wasn’t that fussed with the water. He was much more interested in sniffing and having a dig in the stones. He was very perplexed by people in kayaks.
He has been great in my flat again, has developed an interest in my crocs and slippers but does leave them when I tell him off. We have had so many cuddles and snuggles. We also visited my friends house for the first time. He enjoyed bounding around the garden and generally good in her house. He definitely tested the boundaries and tried to play and nibble her things but did leave them when told. I had bought one of his toys to play with instead. We went on a nice walk which I bought his halti collar for and he was perfect. We also went for lunch in a pub, he was very good, there were four other dogs in the garden too. Only problem was he was trying to army crawl under the table to my friend.

Diesel has been at the rescue for a year now and I have been walking him now for a year. He turned 3 in September as well and from the pictures and videos he has had a lovely time. Here are some things I have learned about Diesel:
* He loves people and other dogs and is very excited to meet them.
* On his usual walk he only pulls a little and is good at listening to my instructions.
* In new walking places and with new people he can get quite excited so he pulls but a halti collar or a front clip no pull harness is best to use.
* He is very nosy and loves to look down peoples drives, through fences and over walls. Good excuse if you want to be nosy too.
* Loves to look out the window when in the car and watch people from the living room window.
* Loves his toys and dentastixs which he takes back to his bed to eat/play with.
* He is not a fan of the rain.
* Can fit into a new routine easily. He picks up routines and patterns quickly. For example stopping at the top of stairs for me, waiting at places on a walk where the ground is unsteady and even knowing when I finish cooking a risotto I get cheese out (I gave him some once).
* Good at training, since fostering him I have taught him stay, come and down. He already had sit sorted but the others are important on a walk like come if he is off on the extendable lead and I need him to come to me if people, dogs or horses are coming.
* Really good in the car and sits patiently waiting to come out.
* He is quite perplexed by motorised wheelchairs and kayaks.
* He is such a character as you can see from the pictures.

I took the wonderful Diesel out for a walk the other day. He is a friendly, cuddly chap and so cute. Initially he's like a sprinter off the blocks but he calms down after a while. We were accompanied on our walk by dear Poirot and new walker, Georgia. The two dogs were brilliant in each other's company. Diesel was particularly loving sploshing through the many puddles along the way. Diesel would make a wonderful companion so please consider adopting him.

Diesel has been round for another sleepover. He is sooo cute, smushy and cuddly. He was very excited on Fridays walk and pulled a lot. So used the front clip on his harness with a shorter lead for the remaining time and he was perfect.
Video of him on our walk, he loves being told he is a good boy.

Met this gorgeous boy today and had a lovely walk. He is such a friendly boy, totally unphased coming out of the kennel by all the other dogs. He wasn't too keen when the torrential rain hit but it was a good excuse to go into the cabin for some cuddles. Can't wait to walk him again

What’s not to love about Diesel. He was very excited in his kennel this morning and ragged the lead a bit, which is unusual for him. Waited for him to calm down and we headed off for a drenching in the rain. He is such a lovely dog to walk and can’t resist the occasional fallen apple on the path
. He listens well and isn’t bothered by other dogs passing close by. Such a sweet, cuddle bundle of fun
