Diesel's Story: Diesel was rescued in June to surrendering owner to join a retriever. They have got on well but had a fight over a toy and as the owner is pregnant she can't risk another squabble. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Diesel is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinatied. Diesel came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Diesel's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: We were called twice and Diesel's then owner was in a desperate situation and their only option was to put Diesel to sleep as they had exhausted all other avenues.
Diesel will come into RescueRemedies end of September 23.

I was lucky to meet Diesel on Friday and found him to be super friendly, calm and full of fun. He walked really nicely on the lead, taking his time to have a good sniff around and explore the environment. We passed 2 dogs who briefly barked at him and his reaction was to walk away. He is a handsome boy with bags of personality, so I think he is going to be popular with our lovely volunteer walkers.

I met and walked Diesel today. What a lovely, loving, friendly medium sized staffie cross. He is super friendly, and after some sausage by way of introduction, he let me adjust his harness, have a cuddle, and off for a walk.
He seems totally non-reactive to other dogs, but wants to say hello to ever human!!!! Diesel is interested in his surroundings and is an easy walk. For the first part of the walk he would like me hand every minute, and kept looking up at me for reassurance. I think this young chap will be super popular, and hopefully not with us very long.

What a lovely little dog !!!!!
I met Diesel earlier in the week and got the chance to take him out yesterday.
A lovely sized AmBulldog, bright and perky, with a goofy grin on his face all the time. As with all bull breeds, he was as friendly as ever, looking for affection whenever he could.
I was obviously happy to oblige him and a belly or ear rub was grateful recieved.
Once in the woods he settled very quickly to a nice pace and was an easy walker.
This lovely chap will no doubt have an army of fans soon.

Diesel's a gorgeous friendly guy. He was walking at a good pace with some tension on the lead at times but nothing unmanageable. He was very patient whilst I stood and had a chat with one of the other walkers we bumped into, super friendly saying hello to them and eventually sat down patiently and waited. He showed interest in people that walked or ran past and pulled a little to try to catch up to them, but he was then very happy to stand to the side of the path when asked and focus on a treat whilst they went past. He seems very food motivated which will be handy! He won’t be around for long, I’m sure!

Diesel is adorable in every way. As previously mentioned, he loves every human as he was eager to say hi to some guys in a van that had parked up . Non stop tail wagging and walking comfortably on the lead, Diesel is such a lovely dog and doubt if he will be with RR very long.

Diesel is a very friendly boy. He loves to give kisses and have a cuddle. He wasn't overly impressed by the rain today and when it came down really hard he did pick up speed to get home again

My first meet and walk with Diesel today - I'd been looking forward to this.
He was bouncy and friendly in his run as we got ready, but it as all harmless and manageable.
He walks nicely and was a joy to complete my loop around the village with.
A quick visit to the large paddock on our return and our time together (on this occasion at least) was over all too soon.
Just lovely!
