Paddy's Story: Paddy was bought as a pup into a family with young children and 3 other dogs. Paddy is too much for the family being a Staffordshire Bull TERRIER. Needs to be a single dog. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Paddy is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Paddy came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Paddy's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.

Original referral information: Paddy's family first made contact in July and we were going to take Paddy but they were still in debate and we had other dogs desperate to be saved. Family recently reconnected very urgently so we took Paddy into emergency kennelling to save him.

Paddy came into RescueRemedies on the 21st Sept 23

Oh my goodness! What a sweet, fun, affectionate little chap. He is a staffie lovers dream!
After a walk, photoshoot and lots of full on staffie cuddles it was hard to give this little boy back to Lynne!

Adorable. Totally adorable. Paddy is a small, slim, lively Staffie who loves people and being handled, which he is obviously used to. He was positively helpful while I was fitting and adjusting a new harness. We had a lovely long walk, and he seems totally non-reactive to other dogs - he expressed polite interest in a couple we passed, and ignored the others.
Paddy is a delight to walk and will be a wonderful companion for a lucky family.
Totally adorable xxxxxxx
BEWARE - Door dasher, particularly on return to kennel.

I got to walk this fabulous little boy yesterday. He is quite simply adorable love4.gif He's small for a staffie, and has such a smiley face. He is gentle on the lead, enjoys stopping and sniffing, passes other dogs without any problems, not worried by cyclists (even when they are going rather fast!) and loves cuddles thumbs.gif He didn't want me to leave him when we got back to his kennel, to be fair, I didn't want to leave either :biggrin.gif: so we had a bit of a cuddle before I went. Paddy is an easy little dog very ready to be the centre of some lucky persons world :yes.gif:

Paddy came home with us yesterday afternoon for a short break. We were not quite sure what to expect, but so far we he has been an absolute joy to be around. He travelled impeccably in the car. He jumped straight in and after a bit he lied down on the seat for a snooze. He's very very affectionate and cuddly, he's toilet trained and he's very responsive to his name. He slept through the night on our bed - we gave him the option of his bed, but obviously he chose ours. He ate well both last night and this morning.
On a walk, he didn't mind traffic, people or other dogs.
Come on people, fill out an application form fast, as this beauty is going to be popular!
