Lexi's Story: Lexi & Rosie were left homeless when their owner was found dead. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving their lives. They are both now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Rosie & Lexi came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick and is now in foster as an only pet whilst awaiting their new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Lexi & Rosie's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.

Original referral information: We had an urgent call from James whose best friend was found dead, who was waiting for a kidney transplant, at 36 years age. His 2 dogs had nowhere to go and we agreed to squeeze them in

Lexi & Rosie came into RescueRemedies on the 16th Aug 23

I walked Lexi today, with Becca walking Rosie.

They are totally bonded and perfectly content in each other's company, completing our route without any issues or concerns and at a nice pace.

We visited the stream and the paddock on our return...

Rosie is the sweetest little staffie and Lexi is a lovely gentle ambul. They walk beautifully and are super friendly. Rosie cries like a baby and she just makes you want to cuddle her. Lexi mooches about in a calm manner. Such a lovely pair and I hope someone gives them a home very soon. They really tug on the heartstrings.

Lexi is initially a little nervous of new people but she soon relaxes. She is a quiet, calm girl, clearly bonded with her little friend, Rosie.
Yesterday Elaine and I took the girls for a stroll down the lane and then into the paddock for some quiet mooching. Rosie is full on and demanding attention, whereas Lexi is more reserved and a little aloof.

Lexie is in here with her best friend Rosie, whom she obviously adores. Rosie (very much the older of the two) is a little pocket dynamo, Lexie is a laid back lady, she is so gentle and so very sweet. It would be a dream to manage to get these two homed together :yes.gif:

Had the pleasure of walking beautiful Lexi and lovely Rosie yesterday, they are the sweetest pair! I had Lexi and she was a dream on the lead, not one pull, she's a little shyer of the two, but I found if I told her what a beautiful good girl she was, she would get a little spring in her step, for such a big gorgeous lump she walks very daintily. Very very lovely girl, we did our walk with Lenny (lurcher) trotting along behind which she was very happy with love4.gif

Walked these two beauties on Tuesday with Becca. They are the best dogs, walked lovely on lead. They both come from a home environment so would fit straight in with a family I'm sure. They need to go in a home ASAP as they clearly miss human contact.

Both are a dream to walk and they take everything in their stride, don’t seem fazed by anything. These girls would love a home and they have loads of love to give the lucky family. thumbs.gif

If I was in a position to adopt a dog, it would be this delightful pair. They are so loving towards people and one another. In the paddock they don’t jump up but just nuzzle in for cuddles. On walks they are glued to each other - and their walker - and they never pull - if one of them stops, the other waits. They are such funny, sweet and gentle dogs who lost their home through no fault of their own. They just want a warm home, one another and some company. Their new home will be very lucky indeed to have this gorgeous duo.
