Colin's Story: Colin was taken in as welfare. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Colin is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Colin came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Colin's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: We have the honour to help Colin find his new family.

Colin has arrived and taking us with a wow....
Yesterday he gave his kennel place to an emergency intake Lola a German Shepherd who needed it urgently. Today Jenna and Nathan offered Lola a 1 week foster so Lola said "Thank you Colin...for the use. Yours!"

Colin... we share the same birthday (except for the year, obviously)!
I saw you briefly when I popped into the Rescue for a couple of hours late this afternoon and you took a couple of sausage treats from me ever so gently.
I'll take you for a walk on my next visit.

I am soooooo happy
May I introduce to you the newbie that is:
COLIN !!!!!
I have been waiting to get a lead on this boy since I knew he was coming to RR.
Having changed his name to something more gentlemanly, I have been very eager to meet him.
He has not failed to impress me.
Having walked Dawn and Tyler, I was going to have a supposed short day to catch up on other duties at home etc.
However, I decided to have squish and cuddle with 2 of the newbies, in the forms of Hector, a lovely lad and Bear, also a handsome creature.
As I walked behind Lynne's van I saw something quite large blocking the view through the windows. This was Colin's head !
With a Cheshire cat grin on my face along with our lovely kennel staff I was introduced to the handsome Colin. I can honestly say I think everybody fell for him instantly. He is absolutely stunning. previous pics do not do him justice.
He is a big boy with a gorgeous face that contains a cheeky grin and reminds me of Simba, an XL previously at RR.
I took him to the paddock for a wind down and then a little walk.
Initial observations are that he walks very nicely with confidence,is good around dogs (Beau Beau had a quick bark at him which he basically ignored and went about his walk), is very people friendly, loves a stroke and a cuddle and is definitely a boy that wants your attention and affection. I was sitting on a chair in the blue paddock and Colin decided that he wanted some of that action and promptly tried to squeeze in behind me for a bit of affection !
, sadly the chair could not accommodate the pair of us and so I let our new guest have the pleasure whilst I took a quick video.
This boy will definitely have a queue of bully breed lovers to walk him ! He is AWESOME !!
I am itching to get back to RR on Tuesday to take this young man out !!!

Colin went for a walk with the one and only Tyler today and they were absolutely blinding together.
Definitely a good combo these 2.
He was very well behaved for his Auntie Simone, whilst I had Tyler,
Sadly I didn't get any pics but will endeavour to do so on our next Big Bully walk.

As Tony said, Colin was so lovely to walk. Gentle, didn’t pull and doesn’t seem bothered at all about other dogs.
The next day we took Colin and Freya out. Again, a lovely nice easy walk from both of them.
Colin is a very sweet boy. I hope he finds the home he deserves soon

As with Tyler I had only a short visit today and Colin was another on my list for a paddock run.
As with my first experience with Colin he seemed to take great delight on sitting on the chairs in the paddock.
With his love of chairs comes a bit of a Warning !!!!!
Whilst sitting on the 3 chairs along the side of the paddock fencing, Yes ALL 3 were sat on, Colin not decided on his favourite ! It was noticed that this young man was seemingly gauging the fence height in a manner that said, "now I'm a foot or so higher off the ground, I reckon I could clear that fence if I wanted to !!!!".
The activity and noise from the other side captured his interest. The chairs were then moved further into the paddock, so it would be advisable for anyone giving Colin paddock time to have the chairs away from the fencing!
He had a good old run around the paddock and a few pics taken on the podium, similar to Tyler and settled down a bit. Quick for a big unit !
He was acting a bit needy and if I stopped the head or belly rubs, he would grab my hand back as if to say " nobody told you to stop !" I have never noticed this before but then again we've always been out walking. Maybe he is still just a bit in secure and needs to settle in to kennel life.
A lovely boy who has so much to offer. Handsome, clever !, and although we haven't really seen it in full bloom yet, I suspect a personality as big as his head and heart.
