Unfortunately from tomorrow Sunny will be in kennel as my animals are very stressed by his presents, cats moved out of the house… I started to be attach to Sunny he is such lovely individual with character…This dog need attention ,love , patience ,time and someone who will love him just as he is.Sunny has changed soo much in one month he started to be open to me ,love play and tummy rubs, he also love to sleep with me …He need a home without other animals and children someone who retired or not working would be perfect…Sunny doesn’t like when someone touch him without warning he decide when he wants to play he will come and ask for attention… he doesn’t like when try to take his food ones given to him is his… he love his toys I take one on walk with me when he gets anxious it helps to calm him down sometimes I ask him to sit down and he is calming to Sunny needs about 3x walk about 10 -15 minutes walks and maybe 2x20 minutes of play time the rest of the day he will sleep, belly rubs taking longer officially as this is favourite time of the day but only when he wants them… With the garden we will need one walk a day he is definitely home dog .First month or two maybe a bit hard as he need to learn to trust the person the best way is to treat him well and leave him alone to adjust to the situation…
Sunny is better on walks but you need to show him that he is safe with you and no one will hurt him… he doesn’t like walk when dark as his eye sight is not so good anymore , sometimes he is having bad nightmares that need to be trauma from the past best to leave him alone just talk to him from the distance that is all good and he is safe, he watch tv he can recognise an animals on the tv and will try to protect you from them… he also doesn’t like raised voices start to shake …he is a lot of fun but also a lot of responsibility he desperately needs a home as I think time in kennel will be hard for him as he is scared of the noises and other animals…. He deserves a good loving home as he is soo intelligent and so lively…he is having ability to learn but need patience
I’m soo soo sad and sorry for him…

Goodness me, how sad you will be without Sunny and how well you have looked after him. It is great that you have given so many insights into his nature and character - what he likes and what he doesn't like. He hopefully will find the right home through RR -somewhere where his new owner will spend lots of time with him, somewhere without cats and other animals and no children.

Let's hope that his new home or foster home comes along soon and you can truly relax having done the very best for this gorgeous little fox terrier. love4.gif

I took little Sunny out for a short comfort break this morning and, although he did not know me, he came very happily with a wag of his little tail. He is like a little white snowball - totally adorable. His previous owner loves him so much and has gone out of her way to give us as much information as she can about this little dog.

At the moment Sunny is a bit confused - it always takes a little while for a dog to settle once they come into RR care - but with the care of the staff and the attention of the walkers settle he will. He was taken out later in the day by Tricia, one of the terrier walkers, and she made sure he went on the longish circuit that we do through the woods.

Hopefully this little man, with all his needs and quirks, will find his forever home very soon. :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif:
