Sunny's Story: Sunny has been owned since a puppy and grew up with young children. Sunny's family emigrated and couldn't take him with them. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Sunny is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Sunny came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Sunny's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: Sunny's owners have been trying everywhere for a Rescue place for Sunny. We have agreed to help. Kim and her husband took him in but couldn't keep longterm due to cats and a very elderly dog.
Sunny came into RescueRemedies books on the 15th June 23

He is totally adorable - like a little white cloud - so lovely. I hope he finds his own home soon as it must be such a worry for his owners.

Sunny is building the trust between him and my sister, he is trusting her enough to let her to touch his head as he doesn’t like it … he needs some time before he starts to trust… he is reactive dog , he reacts to small animals , cars, other dogs (not all) and children. He works with a behaviourist on it , training is going well … trainer said he need a time but he is clever and he will learn to react less with time … I believe that with love and attention he will become very good boy.. unfortunately he should be at home with no pets no children…he just need his own human who will accept him as he is…

I believe that Sunny is very good inside but he didn’t have chance to learn it in his life also if someone put some time in him will be rewarded with beautiful friendship and love - I’m sorry for my English but this is not my first language .I think everyone understands what I am trying to say….
