Homing Requirements: Tammy needs a family who can engage with Tammy's terrier triumphs and tantrums. She can take her excitement out on her canine companion, so for that reason an alone "only dog" home is required though most of time she is fluent and delights in canine company. Insurance will be picked up by the new owner as she has mild hip dysphasia which is very rare for a terrier especially of this age. Painkillers support her on not so good days. Not for cats or small furries.

Her Story: Rescued 2 years ago to live in with a Lurcher. She will occasionally take her frustrated terrier energy out on her companion so is now separated, with a devoted family keeping her until her new family is found. Neutered, vacc'd and chipped. Currently in West Midlands in her own home.

Advert: Tammy is an entertainer, joy itself and a lovely, lovely person. She can however have her terrier moments which involves her diverting to another dog … rare but Lurchers don't have the fur to offer up only delicate skin. She is managed on an extender lead outside on her walks and although excited around dogs she does settle as with visitors. Keeping her tempo at a low and manageable level is an art form but achievable. Housetrained and can be left.

Tammy is a red Lakeland Terrier who may or may not be 'show pedigree' type, but as with Red Fells, Lakie Terriers are a very close cousin. Mrs Personality who deserves a caring family who can ensure she doesn't stretch her hips as they have pained her we believe. Tammy is the type of terrier who is picked up into your arms and seen walking into the sunset, towards happy days and cherished memories in the making.
