The cosy sofa photos are what we live for at the rescue great news , I met Nero on Sunday just before he was whisked away to his new life and he was so gorgeous and friendly I nearly went off with him myself thank you !

Nero has settled in very well! He is a cheeky, very intelligent soul. Ruined the garden, takes washing off the line, opens doors and barks at all and every noise. But he is very loving and we wouldn’t have him any other way! I shall post pictures when I work out how! In the meantime he looks after his adoptive brother Mack, who in comparison is a complete baby!! We absolutely love our babies, complete characters! We are so grateful to you all!!!! Xxx

Dear Nero came back to us yesterday. Unfortunately he repeated fell out with one of the dogs in the house though most of the time they were snuggled up together. Such a difficult decision for his family but the right one.

Nero has so much going for him he will find a secure home as a only dog.

Oh this sweet boy is back with us until he finds his new home which undoubtedly won’t be long
He is nervous and shy at the moment which is completely understandable however we had a lovely chilled walk around the grounds twice where he definitely got faster and more relaxed the longer we were out having a bit of a sniff here and there
He is such a beautiful boy
When I took him back he was happy to take some treats from me so I will go and see him tomorrow so he knows I am his friend

After meeting this beautiful big gentle boy yesterday I couldn’t help but say hello today and see how he is settling back it as it can’t be easy for him
Nero got off his bed and came over to me so I took that as a sign that we are friends and he would like to go out for a walk with me
No fuss popping leads on and gentle as a lamb walking past the other dogs
We wandered around the grounds then stopped at the poets hut to see how he would be and he jumped on the sofa and made himself comfy

I got out an array of treats and he went for the dried duck breast

He sat patiently and let me stroke him and take a few pictures
Nero and I walked a bit more and when he saw a dog chasing a ball he seemed to be interested , just stopped and looked then carried on

He is an absolute treasure and I can’t wait for him to find that perfect home that is out there for him

I walked the lovely Nero today. He seemed so sad, and confused as to why he is back in kennels. He is such a gentle, sweet lump. He wouldn’t take any treats, but was quite happy to have the leads clipped on and go for a walk. We had a long walk - initially with slack leads at my side, but he gradually relaxed and walked ahead of me. We had a long walk and he behaved beautifully. Back at the kennels he still didn’t take any treats …. work in progress!
