Boo's Story: Boo came into her family as a pup with an older Staffie x and 6 year old child. The family then had 2 babies in succession and Boo was no longer walked, due to pressures of time. Boo had a false pregnancy became guardy around her bed and snapped once but made no contact. Family agreed Booe wasn't getting what she was use to and needed. The family urgently looked for a Rescue Place. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Boo has been neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Boo is in our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.
If interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Boo's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: We received an urgent call and we saved Boo, have since paid to vaccinate and spay her whilst she waits for a kennel space.
Boo came in to our books on the 6th March 23

Boo has arrived with us. She has just got back from a lovely walk with Rebecca and Matt into the village and then a walk with Lisa and Elsa and our new boy Nero a fellow Cane Corso. We all agree she is very soft and really enjoyed meeting new people and I'm sure she feels safe in our care as she settles into her new room.

Boo is my kind of girl she is sweet, kind and oh so beautiful
So having not met before I took it nice and gently in her kennel, she was the tiniest bit shy, but very cute and wriggly and the desire to make friends overtook any nerves and all was good and we set off
First stop was Boo’s photo shoot, she’d obviously already been introduced to the bench as she hopped up and posed like a pro, she’s a beautiful girl Was very keen to make friends with Anne too and she was such a good girl having her photos taken, again a wee bit nervous, but you can see her overcoming any worries super quickly because all this beautiful girl wants is to be loved
Photo shoot over Boo and I enjoyed a good mooch this darling girl is desperate to please, she constantly looks for reassurance that she’s being a good girl and oh my goodness of course she is, she’s an absolute angel every now and again I was reminded that darling Boo was a little worried, nothing other than walking a little low, but call her name and she instantly perks up, loving being told what a good girl she is and she really is
Heading back to kennels we took a little stroll around the grounds and she was very excited to see the bench again and so we sat down together and I was very happy to receive a head nudge for affection and we sat for a while me giving some gentle head scratches and Boo giving the most amazing eye contact (she has the exact same eyes as Royce, my absolute fav boy
Boo is so very happy to make friends, in fact I think it’s her thing, she is so desperate to be a good girl and have some lovely friends who will make her feel fabulous and of course loved, she’s certainly in the right place for that

I walked Boo last week. She is so adorable! Those big eyes and slobbery face, what is there that you cannot love about the beautiful Boo.
She was all love and welcome when I went into her kennel, eager to get out but a slack lead out walking and keen to be with you. She loves a good scratch! She also has the swagger of a girl that knows what she’s about! I couldn’t help but add the song

Today I walked Boo for the first time whilst April walked with Thor. Boo was very calm coming out of her kennel despite other barking dogs. She didn't want any treats when she was in her kennel but she did take them later on in the walk. Boo was very easy to walk, walking on slack leads and happy to be in vicinity of another dog on her walk. Initially we walked behind and she pulled a little to catch up. Then we walked in front and she did initially keep looking back at Thor because I think she wanted to say Hi! It didn't take long for her to stop looking back though and get on with the walk. We walked mainly on roads, and across the noisy motorway bridge. She pushed herself against me when a noisy motorbike went past and walked close to me as we we walked over the bridge but there was no reactivity and even I find that bridge too noisy. Cyclists, kids on bikes, passers-by all not phased by. She liked sniffing in any grassy areas we passed and was just very amenable with a waggy tail. When we got back to the grounds of the kennel, she was upset that Thor stopped and went a different way, she obviously liked being in his company. She watched him and barked, then sat down refusing to budge, seemingly to wait for him to follow. With a few let's go and kissy noises she did get up and walk again, back to her laidback manner, back to her kennel. Returning her to her kennel was a easy as it was getting her out. Lovely friendly easy to walk dog who will make a great companion to the right person. She's also very pretty!

Boo is just lovely
I’ve been walking this darling girl since she arrived and honestly she’s just wonderful Our first few walks have been solo, just while we’ve been getting to know each other and so on Wednesday I decided that a social walk would be great and who better to call on than our lovely Tommy Staffie to
Boo is very sweet when you go to get her ready for her walk, all cute and wriggly and just super happy to see a friend and our exit from kennels is always pretty relaxed.
So Boo and Tommy together, bit of a dream team actually as soon as Boo spotted Tommy she was not at all bothered and very happy to follow him and Tommy seemed very happy to be in the company of our beautiful Boo

Betty and I had a lovely walk with Boo and Jude today. Lovely relaxed vibe from both dogs. Boo and Jude got ahead of us as Betty was busy checking out the interesting smells and when I reached the bridge they were waiting for us. Here they are having a relaxed chat in the sunshine.
