Current Status: Available
Piper's Story: Piper came over from Romania as a 7 month pup in August 21. She wasn't a street dog so is manageable and enjoys close contact with her humans though reticent with strangers. Piper is a medium/large sized dog who easily lives with other dogs. We took Piper on as Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Piper is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Piper came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.
If interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays. Piper's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: Piper has spent a brief spell in foster, but time in kennels. We were asked to save her life as the Rescue lost their kennel spaces.
Piper came into RescueRemedies on the 10th February 23.

Piper travelled to Vets yesterday. She jumped into the dog mobile crate without a problem. Was easy to manage within the vets and had her first vaccination. She a few lumps on the top of her head which the vet pieced with a fine needle and he clearer them out. He described them 'like blackheads' in humans, but a little warty and should heal up now.
Piper didn't blink and revealed her temperament as exceptional. Piper is booked in for spay 22nd February. Very happy to meet her kennel partner on return. Superb girlie, who is medium size not a big as she looks on her photos.

Piper is such a beautiful dog with lovely energy about her. She is good on the lead but when we let her off in the paddock, she ran like the wind, enjoying the space for zoomies. If I called her, she came running back to me. Piper seems very bonded with her kennel mate, Milo and the two of them play happily together.

Piper is so gorgeous! And what a gentle soul she is! We had a lovely walk around the woods this morning she was good as gold such a well behaved girl - she certainly knows her name and was very responsive to this. She loved some cuddles during our walk

We always enjoy a walk with Piper and Mylo. Piper knows how to sit and give paw and shes responsive to her name. She's a real joy to spend time with on a long walk and provided us with lots of laughs! I've not seen her be reactive to anything, she just wants to walk, play with Mylo and eat lots of treats! We're looking forward to walking with her more until she finds a home, she's a super pup!

Piper was a really good girl today and she gave me a big cuddle with both paws when I went into her kennel. She has the kindest eyes when she looks at you We saw several other dogs today and she does not react at all she’s just happy trotting along taking in all the new smells! A really lovely girl.

Piper has been to the vets for her second vaccination and we have run a routine test to check she is negative for a foreign disease which is rare but we need to be sure she doesnt carry. She spend a few days at another kennel and has come back into our care. Lovely soft girl who is popular with all

(Since returned)
Frankie and Sam came to meet the lovely Piper on Saturday.
They brought Frankie's mum's dog Ozzie with them as he spends a lot of time with them.
Frankie and Sam thought she was just right for them and the two dogs got on just fine so they will be back Saturday to take Piper home.
Wonderful news!

Piper shared a walk with her kennel companion, Loki, this afternoon. Loki walked with me and Piper with Jude. Both dogs were really relaxed and happy to be out.
