We went for a lovely walk today across the main road and up the bridle path. Bunny lead the way snuffling at everything and rolling in the leaves at any opportunity.
We didn't get any pictures today as she is always on the go. Will try harder next time.
Bunny is such a lovely girl, and will no doubt make such a loyal companion.

All volunteer dog walkers who have met Bunny fall for her and you just need to look at those big brown eyes to know why! Bunny stays calm when she sees you and wiggles her bottom as soon as you pick up her harness thumbs.gif . Bunny doesn't jump up when I walk into her kennel which is a good thing for any human. We have a long cuddle before we set off. Bunny is always calm as we leave and walk past her noisy neighbours. Most dogs would react in some way or another but not Bunny. Bunny is often my last allocated dog and by the time I take her for a walk, the site is quieter which I think suits Bunny. Bunny is very alert, sometimes she walks with her nose to the ground and at other times, she looks intensely through the trees and shrubs (must be her terrier instinct kicking in) or looks at what's behind her. Nine times out of ten there's no-one around. I talk to her in a gentle way, I don't know if it makes a difference but she seems to respond positively. Bunny is very affectionate, she loves cuddles and human company Kiss of love.gif .

I met bunny for the first time today and she was very welcoming in her kennel- I did need the staff to help me harness her up this time as she was quite excited but a few treats later and it was all okay. She is so affectionate and seems to respond really well to verbal praise. She is very alert on walks but with some training I think her lead walking would be good. Also loved rolling around, especially on the grass which was cute. Had a nice cuddle in her kennel before I left too.

I told Bunny she was too big to be a lapdog.

She thought that was total nonsense and that she most certainly IS a lapdog.

So she squished and squashed herself onto my lap to prove her point.

She stayed there quite contentedly until it was time to leave.

Beautiful Bunny is the best. love4.gif

Bunny and I have shared many walks together over the past couple of months. As soon as you pick up her harness, she does the best bum wiggle and after all the excitement we are ready to leave. Whilst all her neighbours are barking, she just plods past them with ease. Out and about Bunny is on high alert a lot of the time. She’s very interested in wildlife and can hear even the smallest of rustles in the woods. She’s a lovely dog to walk and only really pulls when she’s spotted something in the distance! I always take Bunny to the paddock where she just wants to sit on your lap and be cuddled. If you stop, she will let you know and you’ll probably get a face wash or she’ll lean into you even more for you to stroke her again! I think Bunny is very much overlooked. She is so deserving of her own home and a lap that is hers for life!

Brilliant post with lovely pics Libby. You certainly describe Bunny as she is - an amazingly affectionate and lovely dog.

Sweet Bunny is a pleasure to walk. She can sometimes be hypervigilant during dusk and isn't sure about people or dogs walking towards her but verbal encouragements seem to help her.
She is a quiet soul compared to the other dogs. She sits patiently for her harness to go on while her noisy neighbours are barking.

Bunny would make a perfect companion for an older couple due to her low-energy needs and calm nature during walks. I hope to see her in a home soon :)
