Bailey continues to be super excited when she realises that she is going for a walk, and after some initial pulling, she settled into a beautiful walk with slack leads, unless there were squirrels around!!!
She is friendly with almost all other dogs and traffic/bicycles/joggers etc don’t bother her.
She is a happy soul and I hope she finds her forever home soon.

I have been walking Bailey for some months now and although she is nervous of people as she has been badly let down in the past once she knows you she is your friend for life :biggrin.gif: You always get the most lovely and excited greeting when she realises it is her turn for a walk and rushes to find you her favourite toy in appreciation. Being a good girl if you ask her to sit she happily obliges whilst leads are attached and then off we go.

Bailey is a strong girl on lead when excited so coming out of the block is always fun but once out Bailey settles nicely and walks respectfully on slack leads unless one of the pesky squirrels or deer make an appearance and then her excitement can get the better of her so you need to be ready else you'll be running to keep up roflmao.gif.

Bailey is good with other dogs an ignores them when out and about and is the same with people. This week we bumped into fellow walker Lloyd and whilst Bailey wasn't brave enough to say a full hello she happily waited whilst Lloyd and I had a little chat and was very comfortable in his presence bravo1.gif.

Bailey has previously lived with another dog and likes the company of other canines. She does take a moment to warm to people but avoids them to start with and will just need time to settle and get used to someone and then she enjoys a nice fuss and loves a game of ball. She is a super clever girl and will, I'm sure love learn new things which I have no doubt she will pick up quickly especially if there is a treat involved. Her new home will need to be patient with her but it is well worth it as Bailey is a truly wonderful dog and after all the turmoil in her past list really deserves a loving home

Bailey went out with her new friend Tam on Monday and they had a blast. Bailey is learning to walk nicely on lead although still pulls if she sees a squirrel or deer she wants to chase but otherwise she walks nicely. She is learning to love a nice fuss and now comes over and seeks them out before getting you to throw a ball for her. Bailey 9f a lovely girl who once she knows you is your best friend and gets so excited when she sees you. Bailey is now very ready for her forever home where she can continue to learn that humans can in fact be good fun Kiss of love.gif bighug.gif

Had a quick intro to Bailey today with Tam and she is such a different dog outside the kennel, her reaction whenTam approached the kennel was so goo to see, she was literally jumping for joy andhad that staffie smile on her face thumbs.gif . We went into the paddock and she just loves playing ball so I was able to interact with her and hopefully this is start of a new friendship.

I have walked Bailey now for a few months and week by week this beautiful, loving girl is turning into a smashing dog. She listens really well and loves to play with a ball in the paddock. We have been muzzle training her and she has taken to it really well and will happily wear it when needed. I took her to a secure field earlier in the week and after travelling beautifully in the back of the car she was eager to get into the big spacious field where she could run free. She isn’t an overly affectionate dog but does love to give her walkers kisses. She does loves a squirrel which dog doesn’t 🙄and can step up her pace when she sees them but is easily managed and a firm “ let’s go “ she will happily walk on. Bailey is good with most dogs passing and shows no reactivity with people outside. A loyal staffi x who will be an amazing companion for someone.

Had another intro to Bailey and it was great, you can tell how much love she has to give when you see her greet her regulars walkers , she literally jumps for joy. love4.gif
She does walk at a pace, eager to get into the paddock and play ball and this time I did a lot more interacting with her. She wasn’t fazed having me there and was very happy to play with me. On the walk she was happy to let me take the leads and yes she is strong 0002.gif] so a bit of training needed but she is a gem, not fazed by other people, cars or dogs, listens well and regularly checked back in with Tam and started to respond to me as well thumbs.gif Can’t wait to form a friendship with her.
