Bailey Baby seems to have accepted me. I am met at her door with a wagging tail and expectations of walking. She really enjoys her walks and is very alert to all sights and sounds. She will also roll in poo if it's the right 'vintage'. Fortunately she hovers around for a while before taking the plunge....so there's plenty of time to avoid the calamity!

It's an absolute joy to see Bailey out and about with Stephen, she really is a beautiful girl who has been, and obviously felt, so let down by humans, but has decided to give us another chance. Thank you Bailey xxx

Bailey is doing very well with her walking and now can't wait to get out and about. Bailey was/is definitely in shock after being surrendered to kennels. So our 1st task was to get her a little settled into a routine and also to trust a few people. She's doing well and going in the right direction.

Bailey was excited to go out today and decided to take her squeaky pig with her. She actually walked a lot better with piggy in tow. Not sure if that was a coincidence? Bailey would happily stay out for hours if possible and is often reluctant to return to her room. She's definitely more stressed within the kennel grounds. We passed Jo and Wendy in the lane. Wendy got a short sniff and tail wag from Bailey. All good. We had a walk in the grounds, through the bottom woods and then to the back paddock where Bailey seemed to see something in the tree line; after which she tried to climb the fence. So we left the paddock and piggy in the mud (to be retrieved). She then started pulling on the lead until we returned to her room.
Once Bailey accepts you, she's in 100%.

Today we had a walk through the woods then went down town to see the sights. Bailey is good around traffic and roads.

Bailey walks much better when she decides to carry something with her. She really enjoys her time out. It's like everything is new to her. She does make a lot of noise when passing other dogs but isn't interested in trouble. The other day she was making a lot of noise toward a whippet. When we stopped and I started talking to the dogs owner, Bailey stood still and didn't make a sound! She's a lovely soul with a very pronounced and nervous defensiveness.

Bailey is a fun energetic girl to be around once she accepts you into her space. Today we went to the dog field. She thoroughly enjoyed herself and didn't stop running around. When it was time to leave she gave me the runaround for 10 mins. I had to resort to subterfuge to get her back in the van!

Bailey is really a medium sized softy behind a noisey set of teeth. In reality she wants to befriend and have fun but is very unsure about things. She registers every sound when out in the woods and is on alert for squirrels and birds. Definitely NOT for cats. Bailey spends a lot of time sniffing around and looking up into the treetops for her furry friends. I'm not sure whether she starting to pull less or I'm just getting used to it! I regularly try to slow her down but she is a busy girl and still only 17 months old. I wonder how much she's actually been on a lead sometimes?
That being said, she's getting braver at meeting people in the yard and is coming out of her shell.

Here she is scanning the woods after hearing a rustling noise.
