Lenny had a new friend today, puppy Gwen.
After a slow start we set off on a walk and then back to the walkers area for a few treats. Lenny was slightly greedy and tried to help himself to treats!

I have not walked Lenny for a while and he reminded me yesterday that I have been missing out. He is such a gentle soul and walks so nicely on the lead. He also loves cuddles which I was more than happy to give.

Another weekend with Lenny. He made new small friends while out and about

It was a busy weekend, with lots of visitors, who he loves to snuggle up to.

And tea with his best friend Dolly, a Romanian rescue dog.

But his favourite place is his dog bed by the radiator. Here he is catching some zzzzzzz before returning to kennels.

I’ve been using a muzzle on Lenny when we are out and about and he accepts it well. It’s just for peace of mind, as Lenny, like most sighthounds is an opportunist and would grab something small and furry if it ran straight up to his face. He’s not a dog that lunges or strains on the lead to get to small animals, but it just takes away any risks.

Lenny, on another weekend foster break from kennels. He’s very gentle with all people and never loses his patience. He sleeps well all night, doesn’t guard his food or anything. He’s lovely and easy to walk. Lenny loves a party and large groups of people. He’s great on car journeys and loves being in the car. Lenny is happy to be put in another room if food is around - as he is a sneaky food thief. I don’t understand why he has not yet been adopted.

Rachell and her daughter Shannon travelled from Nottinghamshire to meet the celebrity Lenny. It truly is love and the light and love in Lenny's eyes just knew this was a special special meeting.

After a long drive south, Rachel and her daughter, Shannon, were greeted by Lenny. He lapped up all the the attention happily. A walk, lots of cuddles and a few treats later, then Lenny was in the car and on a journey to his new life in Nottingham. Fabulous homing.

Lovely Lenny slept most of the way home and didn't seem phased by the long journey. Very happy and contented at home and enjoying his special treat from Becca

Big thank you to everyone that has cared for him, walked him and taken him home while he waited for his forever home.
