Achilles GSD x Dobie DofB 15.11.18 Crawley
Re: Achilles GSD x Dobie DofB 15.11.18 Gatwick Kenns
Achilles is very interested in other dogs and does pull toward them. He has a great temperament, and although slightly nervous, is easily won over. Today we had a walk in the woods, up the lane, and some offlead time in the paddock.

Achilles likes to chase a ball, bring it back, then have a little game of tug. He's never aggressive and doesn't get hyped up. He just likes the interaction. In fact if I pull the ball towards me a bit then stroke his head, he won't move for ages. Achilles has a thing about other dogs when out. He sees them coming from a distance and stands transfixed. He does bark and pull towards them if they're close enough but again he never seems aggressive. Just better to give them the swerve. He's a lovely natured dog and after the initial shock of the kennels is getting used to the routine and putting weight back on.

Achilles is a wonderful mutt. Very soft natured. Looks you straight in the eye and connects at an unusual level. He does however, pull like a train! He's a funny boy really. He'll be pulling you along (calms down around the 40 min mark) but then if you stop he'll stand beside you and wait until you move. Today the wind spooked him a few times. After which he came in close for comfort. Achilles is very human centred....but also very fixated on other dogs.

Achilles is a beautiful soul. When he's standing still he hardly moves from your side. When he's walking he does pull! We took a new route today down through the village. He enjoyed the change. Especially when we came across some strange looking dogs!

We started walking with Achilles (or running after him ;-)) on Saturdays, and really love this boy! He does pull when we walk, but also stops for cuddles whenever asked. He loves a bit of a drink every now and then, a stop in the stream is a must. When the grass is nice and fresh, he won't say no to a bit of green salad either.
Achilles is not a fan of dogs passing, we stay a fair distance away. He prefers his humans, always checks and even waits if either Norbert or I stay behind :-).

Achilles had a trot up to the river today. He enjoyed a little paddle after we switched over to the longer lead. Along the way 2 young ladies remarked on what a handsome chap he is.

Achilles is Mr very handsome
Took the chance to walk him today, it’s been a while but he greeted me as an old friend in his kennel
We had lovely sunshine and then some snow aswell - Achilles enjoyed both but what he loves the most is leaning into you and being close enough for strokes and cuddles - and when we enjoyed some paddock time after our walk he let me help strip him of some of his winter coat
Love how he leans into you …

Ah, love looking at the pictures of this handsome boy! We had another walk with him on Saturday - very quick and excitable leaving the kennels as we passed some dogs, but then usual cuddles and off we went. Pulled for the first part of the walk, but then really chilled out and we enjoyed a nice stroll in the woods. A stop at the river is a must, I wonder every week when he will take Norbert in ;-). Quite fixated on dogs we passed, but if at a distance, he was able to move on after some encouragement. We finished the walk with some grass munching and more cuddles.

I haven’t walked Achilles for a few weeks but I had a carbon copy of your walks: pulled like a train all the way round the village; lunged at a couple of other dogs; loved being cuddled.

Achilles was in the small paddock yesterday and I couldn’t resist going in for a cuddle and a play
