I walked Rocco yesterday as his mid-week walker was away. We so enjoyed our walk - Rocco particularly as he had not been out the day before. He walked well and fast although he did stop for sniffs along the way. At one point we were almost surrounded by other dogs and their walkers but Rocco behaved so well. No reaction at all. He didn’t pester for treats during the walk although he knew I had his favourite chicken on me. Once back in his pen he enjoyed quite a few treats.
Rocco would be a dream of a patterdale for a patterdale experienced person especially. He is alert and curious - I really liked the way he froze and watched when he saw wild life but did not pester to chase it. He is affectionate and loving. All in all, a lovely little dog. Maybe he’s overlooked but someone is seriously missing out by not having this dog in their life.

Took the lovely rocco out for an offsite walk on Wednesday. He was very excited to be going in the car and travelled calmly. Very eager and enthusiastic to be walking somewhere new. Also happy to sit and enjoy the views. Sweet, gentle boy makes a great companion.

Fab photos of this little dog who certainly hides his light under a bushel. He is an amazing little chap full of love and affection - ok I understand that you have to get to know him a bit first before you see his true brilliant colours but all I can say is go ahead, get to know him and see if you could be accepted to take him home.

Rocco enjoyed a nice walk to the stream and back today. He happily ignored some human food that had been left on the floor and actively avoided the horse poo! When he has big feelings he likes to hold onto the leads but for the majority of the walk he’s not bothered by them at all

A walk, a play in the paddock and a cuddle with Rocco.

I had my first walk with Rocco today where he actually didn’t mouth at the leads once, not even on the way out of his kennel, what a good boy! He’s such a cute little character who likes a good sniff and a few scratches, he knows his name and sits nicely for a treat

Thank you for those lovely pics Sabrina.
I so agree with you about Rocco - once he knows you he is such a well behaved, appreciative little dog. Walks are fun and easy with him. We know what the real Rocco is like and now we must try to show the world just what a good natured, good fun, well behaved little Pattie he is. Kiss of love.gif bighug.gif

I had another walk with Rocco today in the absence of his usual mid-week walker and what a lovely walk we had!
Rocco is always well mannered and well behaved on his walks. Sometimes the exit from his kennel can be a little too energetic but this morning he was fine and we went straight to the large paddock where Rocco burnt up some energy doing zoomies.
Following this we went into the woods - the weather seemed to affect us both in a good way as Rocco relaxed, sniffed, came running back to me for cuddles and treats - always sitting nicely just to show he was ready for some chicken!
To me he epitomises everything a good pattie should be and I really do believe he would be the ideal dog for the person who appreciates this amazing breed.
See you later on in the week Rocco - I'm looking forward to it. Kiss of love.gif
