I’ve spent some lovely quality time with Sully recently aka Sullivan and he is just the best company. You are always greet like a long lost friend in his kennel and once harnessed up and after some cuddles you’re easily on your way. Once out of the kennel block though Sulky usually puts the brakes on as he’s not a dog that likes to go very far, instead he’d rather be lavished with affection and treats by anyone he can find . So usually sully and I just potter round the site taking in the sights and smells and then heading to the paddock so he can have an off lead mooch and yes you guessed it more cuddles. In return though you always get some lovely kisses to show his appreciation.
Sully is a lovely chilled out boy but he isn’t keen on other dogs or cats and can be wary around strangers, however, once he knows you he is your best friend. He also chills out nicely walking with a calm dog and the other week made his first proper doggie friend in Dixie. Watching him totally relax in her company was amazing and showed me that he does have the capacity to be around other dogs but will definitely need help in this area.
Sully really is a wonderful dog and doesn’t ask for much, just a quiet life and a nice fuss and as he likes the quiet life would just love a sofa to call his own. So if you’re a large breed fan please consider sully, he’d be ever so grateful

I’ve only recently started taking Sully out. He’s reluctant to walk far, but loves cuddles in the paddock. Each time - just before we are about to head back to his kennel he does a few zoomies to to stretch his legs. Sully loves his treats and sitting next to you watching the world go by. He’s a wonderful dog - who just needs a garden, a human companion and some treats to keep him happy.

So, no beating about the bush Sully is my absolute go to boy and I love him very, very much I love all the dogs that I walk, they all hold a very special place in my heart and Sully he has my whole heart I will never, ever forget meeting this darling boy when he first arrived, terrified and so very let down by everyone and I knelt down, looked into his eyes and in he came for a cuddle and that was me gone
Sully now has many friends, he has gained so much In confidence and the most amazing development in the last few weeks is that our boy has found a girlfriend honestly it is quite possibly the sweetest and most wholesome relationship you could ever witness and the object of our boys affections is darling Dixie AmBulldog, she is an absolute sweetheart and Sully has fallen for her hook, line and sinker
So Sully has always been very affectionate with his walkers, he adores cuddles and is very happy to receive full on kisses on those very slobbery chops of his, he takes great comfort and confidence from his people but there has always been a little block, a little reluctance and lack of confidence when heading out into the big wide world, until this most beautiful girl came along, honestly it’s like a switch, as soon as Sully spots Dixie he lights up and becomes this super brave boy, happy to head out on an adventure he even took the lead last week when Dixie was feeling a little bit under the weather, it’s so lovely as both dogs really seem to take great comfort from each other and Sully has absolutely no worries when Dixie decides to have a full on proper sniff
I’m so blinking proud of Sully, he’s the biggest lump of loveliness and I love him very much and he has come so far since his arrival and I’m loving this latest development and cannot wait to see what happens next ……

I caught up with Sully today, something I really should do much more often as he is just the loveliest boy!
Sully being Sully, he wasn't really up for a walk and it even took some persuading to get him over to the paddock. Treats obviously worked but I was going to get through my entire supply at that rate so I tried a different tactic - I found that pointing to the ground ahead and saying "What's this?" as I scuffed it with my boot worked quite well!
So we made it to the new paddock amongst the trees and spent some time in there. Ultimately he was quite content to have the odd sniff before coming back for tickles, cuddles and kisses, and I was perfectly happy to oblige. He's a big boy but equally as gentle and loving - he has also retained quite a puppyish face, which just makes him all the more adorable.
Love him!

Sully loved the new and improved paddock today. He’s such a lovely and cuddly dog and so deserving of his home.

Mr Sullivan and I have been out around the woods and also in the paddock. As we were the last ones around, I took his muzzle off so that he could have a proper rummage. Sully is often reluctant to go far from the front yard, so it was a special bonus to find ourselves in the lower wood. In true Sully fashion he then stalled and stared at me. Once he'd made his mind up as to the general direction of travel, we were off again. We then went to the paddock.

How amazing to see sully feeling comfortable enough to head out.

I took Sully up to Outwood for a 5 minute drive and walk round the green. We wanted to see if a different environment would get him walking more. There's usually no one up there so I tried him with the muzzle on and off. You usually hang around for 10 mins for him to make up his mind about direction. Muzzle on = roll in the grass, muzzle off = a saunter round the green? We bumped in to a RR fosterer for a chat. Sully just hang around no problem, but did start barking as a posse of horses made its way along the road.

I couldn’t think of a better way to start my day than with Sully cuddles, so this morning as soon as I arrived I headed straight for Sully’s kennel I always receive the very best welcome from this darling boy, for me he is the absolute sweetest boy and I love him very much
It’s always a slow start with Sully, but he does enjoy his time out, I think he’s just happier in surroundings that make him feel comfortable, so first stop is always the paddock it was gloriously sunny this morning so Sully was in his element, sniffing around, then coming in for cuddles and when Sully comes in for cuddles he is impossible to resist, he does enjoy zoomies in the paddock, but he wasn’t in the mood today, all he really wanted was full on, proper cuddles and who was I to refuse. So we sat and just enjoyed each others company, Sully is quite possibly the biggest cuddle bug I’ve ever met, he adores a snuggle, I literally wrap my arms around him and he comes right in for a cuddle
I adore this boys company, I love that he has so much love to give, Sully is a sweet, kind and loving boy, he’s very obvious in his likes and dislikes, likes cuddles and kisses with his favourite people, not so keen on strange, maybe anything out of the ordinary, Sully is incredibly easy to read through
I love, love, love spending time with Sully, he is soft and loving and oh so deserving of his perfect forever home
