I took dear Rocky out again today. He greets me with little licks now, it's very sweet!

He was happy to wander around the grounds a couple of times today, seemingly checking out his estate and making sure all was in order.

He seemed very content; lots of sniffing action. Rocky paid absolutely zero attention to any dogs we passed.

Rocky was easily led away from the muddy paddock today (good boy) but he wasn't overly happy with me keeping on trying to film him (like all proper celebrities). He once gave me a rather gruff look, so I put my phone camera away. Sorry Rocky - I just wanted to share with people what an absolutely splendid dog you are!

Dear old Rocky was very cuddley today rolling over onto his back for a tummy rub. The car training went really well. He now trots up the ramp into the car and this time I shut the rear door. Then I opened the side rear door to reassure him but he was quite happy checking the view out of the side windows and then through the windscreen. Afterwards we had a good walk and back to his kennel for more hugs and kisses before I had to leave him.

Started Rockys walk with the usual weekly car training. It's going very well now he trots up the ramp and into the car and let's me shut the door. I got into the drivers seat put the radio on and started the engine. Rocky was quite relaxed and started eating his chew stick. Then he came up to see me for a kiss. Next week we will try his first driving lesson.

Sooo glad to be back with Mr Rocky after 2 weeks away. Ian is doing wonders with him and the car. Rocky still melts my heart and I think he missed me too as I was welcomed with a very waggy tail and lots of kisses!

Rocky had his first driving lesson today and loved it. He sat calmly in the back watching everything out of the side window and when we got back to the kennels he wasn't too keen on getting out. He is such a good boy and is ready for a home with a car.

Videos above are of Rockys first trip to a secure field now he's a keen car passenger. He loved having such a large area to run around in off lead and chase a tennis ball. It was a very cold day and when we got back into the car we turned the heating up to 23 degrees for the trip back. Once back we stayed in the warm car while I had my sandwich and Rocky had a chew bone. I think he enjoyed his outing which we will more often.

Rocky is coming on leaps and bounds
He has become a firm favourite for us on Saturdays.
I absolutely loved reading the write up’s from Ian and the videos of the secure field, I hope once Rocky has built up more car confidence we can also take him for a trip.
Some days Rocky will go for a big long walk with us, other days he just wants a toilet break. Whatever he wants to do we oblige and if it’s the latter we will take him out for a couple of short potters around.
Now we’ve taken him out a good handful of times he is well used to us and lets us stroke him without being worried or nervous, he even returns the love with kisses!

Rocky and I went to the field last Monday. He now trots up the ramp into the car and waits to be chauffeured to the field. He is much more relaxed now when let loose and runs off on his own to explore the field looking back occasionally to see if I am still there. After he has checked the field out he wants to play ball and is getting very good at catching it in the air. Then he has to lay down for a rest, and tummy rub. It was a very cold day so back in the car I wound the heating up and when we got back to the kennels Rocky did not want to get out. Another very good trip out with the lovely Rocky. The Legend of a dog that is Rocky

Rocky wanted to go walking in the woods today, so through the gate we went and off we set. After a short while we found our path had been blocked by tree fellers. "Nevermind, Rocky", I said, "there are plenty of other routes we can take". Rocky looked back at at me with some disdain. "I don't think so, Lady. It's my way or the highway" and he turned on his stumpy, little tail, and set off straight back to the kennels. There was no changing his mind.

We resorted to an inspection of the grounds and some ball play in the paddock. Rocky was also chuffed to find a tub with some water in it. He had a crazy old splash about for a few minutes and then we returned to his kennel for a little kiss and a piece of sausage.

I have a huge soft spot for Rocky, as do all his walkers. It would be so wonderful for him to find his home at last. Rocky has so much character. There will never be a dull day with Rocky around.
