Rubytues's Story: Rubytues was homed by another Rescue and is being returned but the Charity now doesn't have a space. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Rubytues is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Rubytues is in boarding kennels near Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.

If interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and sadly due to unprecedented interest, we will only be able to contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Rubytues' progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: Hi Rescueremedies,

We got in touch a week or 2 ago regarding you helping us with a dog (Rubytues) that we had previously rehomed from our charity but we don't have any space. We have now sourced a courier who can drop Rubytues off to with your rescue in Gatwick on Thursday 29th October if you could confirm this would still be ok and if you still have a space available?

I've sent some photos of Rubytues for you also.

Rubytues comes into our Rescue on the 29th October 2020

I met lovely little Rubytues as she arrived late yesterday and oh what a beauty love4.gif
She'd had a long journey, it was dark and noisy with dogs barking and fireworks going off so Rubytues was obviously a little worried and anxious, but she seemed keen to explore and relaxed enough to have a good old sniff around thumbs.gif
I accompanied Ella walking Rubyues for a little stroll and she waited oh so patiently while Ella fitted her with a lovely new collar and harness.
It took all of 10 minutes for Rubytues to decide that Ella was her best friend and was jumping up for full on cuddles and then while I was trying to take pictures she seemed keen to say hello to me too.
Rubytues is a very, very pretty girl and she has the best waggy tail, cannot wait to see her flourish in the care of RR Kiss of love.gif

Took Rubytues out twice today, only short walks as she’s to remain on site whilst we get to know her.
Absolute darling, very welcoming into her kennel, leads on like a pro and out we went. No Mr Shadow was in the paddock and leaping around and dancing like a twit and Rubytues didn’t like that and had a bark, don’t blame her for it and most dogs do about at Shadow in the paddock, I suspect he does it to show off so I didn’t take any notice or fault Rubytues for it.
we enjoyed lovely walks around the grounds, had a nice little kick about with a smaller boomer and a cuddle in the peace and quiet of the woods.
Shame to see Rubytues hopefully we’ll find her a home soon.

Ruby is settling in and was much more relaxed when I took her out yesterday, than she was last week. She passed other dogs in the lane with no fuss and we set off for a longer walk. Rubytues does pull a bit on the lead but her initial excitement settles and then she takes her time, stopping to sniff and investigate her surroundings. Rubytues was responsive to my direction and voice and would look up if she needed reassurance. Lovely happy girl to spend time with and we both thoroughly enjoyed our walk.

I took RubyTues(day) out for a little walk today, it was to have a walk with a fellow Terrier, but it turned out she didn’t like him so we went for a walk around the woods and then to the paddock. She was keen to play ball and excitedly would try to sit (and do a bark if i was slow) for you to throw the ball, she is quick and in no time she was running back at me full pelt. On her first return I was oh oh, but then found she does have brakes.... me or as I found later on also has the cunning side dart as she’s still got the ball! RubyTues enjoys her people and is nice young sprightly girl. I’m sure she would enjoy running / canicross love4.gif

I have walked Rubytues regularly since she arrived and oh my goodness she's certainly finding her feet and every time we go out I see her confidence growing just a little bit more thumbs.gif
Rubytues gives the most amazing welcome in her kennel, she's just so excited to see someone familiar, Rubytues absolutely loves her friends and I know that her friends love her too Kiss of love.gif
We always set off at a super quick pace but in no time at all Rubytues settle into a lovely pace and we always have the very best walk thumbs.gif
Today we walked a different route and Rubytues absolutely loved the change of scenery, nose down and taking everything in, just a delight to be with Kiss of love.gif
Rubytues has the cutest way of looking back at you, big old grin in place just checking she's doing the right thing, am I being a good girl? And of course she is and that smile just gets bigger and bigger the more praise she receives love4.gif
Lovely, lovely girl Kiss of love.gif
