Well the time came to return Betty to kennels :smiley-sad055.gif: and the house is empty once again. I have to say that Betty was a lovely house guest who was very well behaved and gentle. I thought I would try and remember as much as possible and do some bullet points, as her stay has been quite valuable in that as a volunteer, I could give some insight, which will hopefully help her find the right home.

✅ Travels well in the car, no sickness and was quiet, looking out of window
✅ Met my Husband and Son for the first time with friendly, waggy tail and calm
✅ Very loving and affectionate, a real cuddle monster who likes to snuggle close if she chooses
✅ No issues with food or toy guarding
✅ Doesn't jump up counters in kitchen and sits nicely while we were eating
✅ Clean in the house 100%
✅ Very gentle manners and doesn't snatch treats
✅ Likes to be on sofas and near her favourite person
✅ Slept all night in her bed beside my bed (will need to be near you at night)
✅ Walks without pulling on a loose lead with gentle manner
✅ Doesn't door barge and waits for you
✅ Was easy to wash in shower (she does know me very well)
✅ Didn't bark at all and was calm and content in garden
✅ Took to my grown up son very quickly and was 100% with him. She had some nerves around Hubby at times, but nothing we couldn't manage with my experience and awareness
❎ Betty can be nervous around the odd new person in the home
❎ Not for cats
❎ Doesn't like all dogs and wears a muzzle to prevent unwanted incidents, so needs to be only dog

I think I've covered most things. She wasn't sure about Hubby at times, and then showered him with affection at other times. This is the only thing I could say that wasn't 100% about her stay here, she's such an easy dog otherwise. Good luck Betty Boos xxxx

I had an amazing walk with Betty this morning. Sometimes Betty is reluctant to walk and chooses a short route. Today she chose a long route, taking her time to sniff and roll in the long grass and a sit down for cuddles. First port of call for Betty was the stream. She had a lovely paddle and a drink then onward, again choosing a long route. Another paddle in the next place where we can get to the stream and Betty was a happy girl. I have not seen her this happy and confident out on a walk for a while and it made my heart sing.

Betty is always pleased to see me and just loves getting out for a walk. We always have a long walk with the crew on Sundays, and they all had a dip in the stream, so all happy. Still praying for your special home Betty bighug.gif

Saw Betty out with Laura yesterday, love this little girl and she always greets me as one of her best friends, she needed a little encouragement to continue on to the paddock ( which I know she loves) so I was happy to oblige and was rewarded later on, when I was in the other paddock with Trevor, by her big beaming smile as she played find the treat in the long grass with Laura!!! Betty is such a sweet soul, once she knows you and trusts you she loves you with her whole heart love4.gif
