Bert needed a drink after all that fun - but thought he’d keep his tennis ball close

I was sat on one of their garden chairs - Bert thought I should get involved and play too ...

Bert had such a lovely afternoon - as did I - and I couldn’t have wished for a better woofer to enjoy the day with
Bert never stopped ! Or if he did quite briefly !


But on the way home after checking out where we were heading he lay down and snoozed all the way home !

Found another tennis ball once home but decided after such a fun day he’d lie down with it on the sofa !!!

Fell asleep like this !!!

Mr Perfect overnight, slept on my bed, slept through and absolutely housetrained, not a single accident.

And in the morning he found his shady spot again as I chatted again with my neighbours xxx

Sadly then time to head back to the kennels - Bert is a joy, sheer joy - busy busy boy just like a patterdale should be and delights being around people - he has my heart

Oh he is adorable and sounds so identical to Flossie with the same traits!

Patties really are truly wonderful dogs with boundless amounts of energy,so much fun

I pray Bert that you find your dog focused home very soon!

I can see how everyone who meets Bert, falls in love with him. I got a lovely greeting from him, harness on and off we went to the woods. Bert is such an easy walk, loves to investigate every new smell, stops for a treat and cuddle. On the way back to the kennels Bert spotted a fox, they both stared at each other, not knowing what to do! Back in his kennel Bert enjoyed a cuddle and more treats, he takes treats so gently, such a wonderful little Patterdale

:walked little Bert to day a quick walk round the woods and that was that watched the squirrels run up and down the trees he did enjoy his with the right home he would be a lot of fun

Well I'm in shock coming to terms with good news... delighted to announce Sarah and Bert are now an item! Sarah has always adored Patties and now her heart has engaged deeply! Reading through Bert's thread I now see it coming but when someone has been fostering for over 8 years, it is something to get your head around when suddenly that perfect jigsaw piece is found, and the picture of future life is glorious to see.

Thank you Sarah for the hundreds of dogs you have displayed and helped find their homes. You still will play an invaluable role in the Rescue but from now one your habve your mate to travel with and enjoy fundays with. Lucky Bert fabulous news!
