Wilson has required a shower the last couple of times I have taken him out - I suspect his room mates are rolling him in the mud when they all go out together 0002.gif] Yesterday he was definitely reluctant to enter the shower, you could see the 'oh no not again' thought process, but he does enjoy not being caked in mud and walks much more happily without it :smiley-chores002.gif: , so I did insist. Yesterday I introduced Anna to Wilson and he was such a brave boy and acutally took some sausage from her hand on the first time of meeting thumbs.gif I look forward to seeing that relationship develop love4.gif

After Jan’s introduction last week I have walked Wilson for the second time today. I think he is learning to trust me. We just have a calm walk up the track and back, we managed it right to the end today which I felt was a great achievement. He needs a lot of encouragement with treats, he’s happy to take them out of my hands and is so gentle. I look forward to getting to know him and his kennel mates better 💙

I must just write to say how much I enjoyed meeting Wilson and what a truly sweet soul he is. He is a timid boy and a bit nervous of strangers and looks to his walker for comfort and confidence, but after a minute, he is back to walking happily again. He is such an easy, gentle dog to walk - on a nice loose lead and comes to you when you ask. He has come so far and it would be AMAZING for him to find a loving family to show him love and give him the confidence to come out of his shell even more. He will blossom so much and give you lots of satisfaction.

Wilson contines to show what a gentle soul he is and has really learned to enjoy his walks and take in the smells and sights. He will always be a bit of a nervous nellie I think, he flinched and speeded up the other day when a bird burst into song near him :smiley-ashamed005.gif: but balance that against how relaxed he was when I stopped to chat to new walker Jane and he was introduced :yes.gif: I was beaming with pride, and he was lying nonchalently in the grass near her feet!!!

Wilson and I enjoyed a lovely slow walk in the heat yesterday keeping to the shady woods. Wilson is not interested in venturing into the stream, although I did take him down there and he did have a little drink (without getting his toes wet :smiley-eatdrink004.gif: ), back in the cool of his room he and Ethel and Owen were very happy to share some treats. He is such a lovely boy and the other two really enjoy checking him over when we get back to make sure I haven't swapped him for someone else 0002.gif]

Oh my goodness - Ian & I met Wilson today love4.gif - we didn’t get very far with our walk - just a few steps into the woods. Didn’t want to stress him, so we sat down and had a mini picnic instead, then headed back to the kennel grounds for another short walk, then back home to his roommates, with whom we shared the rest of the treats we had left. He seemed much more relaxed back home, and stayed close by for more treats! What a lovely boy, I was so pleased to meet him & his roommates (I’d only seen / heard glimpses of them before when over the other side with Faye & Bobby!). Hoping we’ll have a chance to take Wilson out for a slightly longer walk next time!

Wilson is a sweet, gentle soul, who needs reassurance but gradually increases in confidence as he learns he can trust you.

Wilson and I continue to enjoy our walks together. He has come so far this lovely lad and is so much more comfortable out in the world. I think he would absolutely blossom in a home environment, with someone to show him the pleasures of a cuddle on the sofa, a play in the garden, and, dare I say it, maybe even a little share of breakfast toast thumbs.gif . I think Wilson is ready to give his heart completely to his own special person, I hope they find him soon :yes.gif: In the meantime I shall continue to take great pleasure from his company angel13.gif]

Such a sweet, gentle dog- a little scared of the world, but just needs time, patience and love to bring him out.
