I do post a lot of Hugo. Fate brings us together more often than not. We found a hard ball thing and the boy wouldn't leave it alone! I actually found it hard to get it off him in the end and ended up sticking it up my jumper. I don't think he noticed. It certainly wore him out though.

Lovely Hugo always seems to be on the look out when i arrive, maybe he recognises my car... He then talks to me with whimpers and whines just so i dont forget he is there and to tell me he should get a walk.
More often than not Hugo and i spend our time in the paddock because he is a larger dog and has alot of energy and just loves running around burning off his energy in the sun on his own before having a play in the paddling pool. When i say Hugo has a lot of energy he is very manageable and isn't a real puller on his walks, just to put people's minds at rest. Hugo has had a past and needs to be introduced to people but once he is your friend, he is your friend. Hugo also seems to be comfortable around other dogs and more often than not will try to play with those he sees instead of shouting at them, can't be complacent but still nice to not have to worry or avoid high dog density areas.
I'd love to see Hugo homed, we're just waiting for his special home until then.

It is always lovely when I get to walk Hugo. Like April said when you are his friend he really loves you. We went on a nice walk last week and stopped for a few cuddles during. I hope Hugo's home is getting nearer. He is a smashing dog. love4.gif

Took the H Bomb out yesterday, great skills running round the paddock again and then loads of cuddles. Went for a walk and he really doesnt like the muzzle but he takes it in his stride.

He loves a chase me game and hugs! Always look forward to seeing him, need him in my life permanent! bravo1.gif

Hugo was in good form today. He really is a character. He met Bailey the Pug through the paddock fence and didn't know what to make of him roflmao.gif
Maybe he's never seen a Pug before? Bailey was unphased and strolled off in style. bravo1.gif

A little late but better than never.
Last Sunday Hugo joined me to provide Karl’s last supported walk with Lenny.
Off we went into Smallfield to show Karl some of the less muddy walks in prep for the coming winter.
Historically Hugo has been upset by cars, especially the speedy ones so I was alittle apprehensive how reactive Hugo might be on our walk, as it involves a lot of roads.
I needn’t have worried, Hugo did not bat an eye at any car, truck or lorry that went by.
Hugo has a speedy pace and we did leave Lenny behind at times, but he was well behaved to sit and wait and Hugo always sits on request before crossing the roads.
No problem with Lenny, Hugo is generally quite calm around other dogs and always seems welcome to meet. Lenny on the other hand was not happy to have Hugo close and gave several warning barks, which Karl did a good job reassuring Lenny and Hugo respected and stayed quite and away. So we stayed true to the current guidelines and kept in excess of two meters apart to keep the canines comfortable.
In all I was really pleased with Hugo and repeatedly told him he was a good boy. I look forward to our next highway walk.

I had a lovely long walk with Hugo yesterday. He will happily stop for cuddles!

He is so chilled on his walk after the initial pace of starting off.

I hadn't read April's last update before I walked Hugo yesterday, so didn't realise how good he now is around traffic (I had walked him near a road ages ago and he was very freaked out by the cars). So I decided to sit with him yesterday at the end of the kennel drive to see how he reacted to the taffic whizzing by. He was fine, I took video which I might as well post anyway, even though he is obviously well past this issue!

Lastly we had time in the paddock which is always a treat for me!

Hugo came out of his kennel smiling yesterday accompanied by James. He enjoyed all the attention during his photoshoot, showing what a handsome, affection , happy boy he is.
