Had Hugo for a quick foster.
Initially quite nervous and gave him a bath then lots of lunch.
This boy loves to play, big zoomies round the garden playing chase. He loves to be chased.
We then went out and hugo was fine, quite nervous round strangers and he needs to be controlled. Remember though these were all unfamiliar surroundings. He is not used to traffic and is unnerved by fast vehicles.
He was great with friends but does guard a little but it was all new to him. He did take a liking to a cushion at the pub but i think he just needs stimulation. He could play all day.
He was very good with other dogs, he is so under socialised its quite sad.
At night he was unsettled but i let him on the bed at 6am and he was out like a light.
He needs a lot of work as he has come from troubled times but he's definitely your best friend. I lay on the sofa and he kept coming over for a kiss.
Will take him again this week. Please consider him he's a great boy with an amazing little heart he just needs his forever home, love and patience. He will repay ten fold.

Hello! So i did my five walks and then went back to see my little boy. We had a nice ruff cuddle and scrub up ready to set him off in the small paddock.

Hugo LOVES to be chased, round the ride on lawnmower and tree he's just a sweet little boy. He loves rough play and running about.

Its amazing you look at him and think hes quite a big strong dog, but he has the personality and drive of a little boy. If somebody doesn't scoop him up he'll be coming to do another weekend foster after the bank holiday.

With the right intros etc he could probably be around older children but will need lots of care and attention. He loves human contact and cuddles. Such a sweet boy, MY BOY!!!

Had Hugo again yesterday. Went into the paddock and got him over excited and had him running around jumping over the picnic bench and chasing him like a lunatic.

Whenever he sees me arrive now on a Sunday he goes mad and its difficult not to get to attached to this little boy. He loves to get on my lap and get close.

I really wish i could take him. He really needs a warm loving family and lots of cuddles. He is a little gremlin and does have a cheeky side but his hearts in the right place. All he wants is a little lap time, a garden and some walks and he will repay it in fathoms.

Geoff walked Hugo on Thursday. It’s been a tough week with lots of rain and not enough walkers, so Hugo was super excited to be going out and was very happy to see Geoff. They had a lovely walk, Hugo didn’t really take any notice of the dogs they passed. He’s a lovely boy. love4.gif

Geoff walked Hugo today, Hugo was astonished that Geoff was there on Tuesday and failed to take him out for a walk, but the weather was truly atrocious whilst we were walking and Geoff was too drenched to continue before he got to this gorgeous boy, so feeling thoroughly guilty Hugo was first today. Hugo was very excited to be going out and kept trying to play tug of war with the leads, Geoff eventually distracted him with a gravy bone biscuit! They had a very energetic walk with Hugo being super excited by the number of squirrels around. Hugo is a loving, friendly, energetic lad. He is strong on the lead, but obedient, and happy, and thrilled to be out having some exercise :smiley-bounce016.gi:

Hugo and Geoff had a lovely walk today. Hugo is a bit too interested in the traffic so if you are walking him by the side of roads, be aware and keep him well away from the cars! Hugo is a strong boy but doesn’t really pull on the lead, he’s a gentleman, takes his treats gently ( he quite likes treats) and is always so pleased to be out and about. Kiss of love.gif

Took the main man out for a run in the paddock first, then on his walk.

He's a little gremlin. He loves me chasing him round the paddock, he really gets the game and when you see him run he's awesome. He still struggles a little with kennels and leaving him as he just wants his home.

Going to take him for a foster again soon, really wish I could take him permanently.

I know he plays up a little with others but with me he's fine. Only reacts to dogs if dogs start on him, and with me hes a damm good boy. I have no issues, he lets me maul him turn him over, upside down, rough play the works. I feel guilty when i walk away.

If your thinking of Hugo, contact the team and go see him. He's a great boy with an amazing nature. He's a little beauty.

I haven't had the chance to walk Hugo in ages. We had such a lovely walk today. It was cooler and he adored mooching along. But he loved the paddock even more. He is such a great dog, a true treasure waiting to be found!
