Lovely Hugo.
He’s recently moved kennels and now has full view of the carpark and all the comings and goings. He’s perfected his wimpier and give me attention wimpier which never fails to make me stop and give him a pat and a treat.
I do manage to take Hugo out at least twice in the week for a run around the paddock, which he loves! He loves a hooley and the opportunity to burn off steam and then a friendly game of chase.
Hugo is such a soppy big gent who makes very dear friends with people once he knows they are friendly.
I’ve found Hugo has got much better at walking on the lead around traffic and will only make a move towards fast or large vehicles, the rest he’ll ignore. Hugo is very good at sitting when crossing the road, is not bothered by dogs near him or even horses which we see regularly in Smallfield.
Hugo would thrive in an environment who are used to larger dogs, with people who like a cuddle and have a big garden with lots of footballs!

Hugo done so well yesterday. Trotting round the woods we were charged at by an exuberant offlead Labrador. Hugo took the advance like a star. He did snap once but not suprising as he was being circled. I think it was more of a bog off gesture than anything else. Hugo responded well to reassurance and handled the situation well. Boy done good bravo1.gif

Had a long walked with Hugo today. Bridget and Kathryn followed and a pleasant time was had by all. The pair, although at a distance, got on just fine. The dogs similar!
Hugo was phased a couple of times by the cyclists, who didn't really want to stop, but all in all he was good company. Got a soft spot for him Heart fill with love.gif]

Great to be out with Hugo again. A couple of cyclists sped up on us from the rear and with little warning. Hugo reacted well even though he wasn't too keen on the encounter.
He had some interest in passing dogs today and can be strong on the lead but he is always easily walked on.
We ended up in the paddock, where he stole my hat and wouldn't give it back. Maybe I shouldn't have took it off my head!
He's a lovely playful boy with a great character once he trusts.

Short vid of Hugo walking behind Darcy. Social distancing for both!

Hugo is quite good with most other dogs when out and about. He does have his moments but I've never experienced anything worrying with him. He's quite a character when you get to know him.

Hugo is a great character. His eyes are like saucers when he knows he's going for a walk. He loves playing around and is very friendly and accommodating once he knows you. He does have his issues with unknown people in his space but he's not a menace and is very manageable.
Hugo likes a bit of one to one playtime and often brings the toy to you for a little cat and mouse game.
