Royce Cane Corso x Lab DofB 12.2016 RRemedies Centre
Re: Royce Lab x DofB 12.2016 RRemedies Centre
Royce enjoyed his zoomie time but wasn't too keen on the weather. Caught the last bit before he came to a halt then led me back to his room!

The Royce always takes me the long way around the park then under the motorway. He plods along without a care when there's no one about. His nerves do get to him, it's just the way he is. Anyone not interested in the madding crowd would have themselves a top dog.

Saw Royce out with one of his champions lyndsay yesterday. He didn't seem too keen on the mud, but was keen on plenty of fuss. Royce is such a lovely animal at heart. Underneath his nervous noise he is a warm hearted companion and friend.

Lovely walk with Royce a beautiful soul who just needs the right person to help with his nerves. If Royce knows you your his best friend, loves his belly rubs and cuddles, can be stubborn in where he walks but loves being out especially if it’s quiet. Royce enjoys the paddock but would much rather sit on the table and come in for belly rubs and cuddles. Royce is just a beautiful boy looking for his forever person
Love this boy.

I adore Royce, he absolutely has my heart and once you have taken the time to get to know him he will wholeheartedly give you his
if you read the start of his thread and how he found his way into rescue it will give you an insight into this amazing boy’s loyalty and how deep he loves
I walk Royce every week, our time together is special and it always starts with cuddles, as I approach I will call out his name and there he is just waiting, the look on this boys face absolutely melts my heart and as soon as I enter his room I get a jump up for cuddles, never too full on, just sweet happiness to see his friend
I share a few treats while harnessing and he does wear a muzzle, but he wears it without fuss and off we set, generally a strong start but very quickly Royce settles into a beautiful, gentle pace and more often than not our walks are without event
So I have been walking Royce for some time now and we have the best relationship, I absolutely trust him with me and with his immediate friends at the kennels, but sometimes he can be a bit of a scaredy-cat and so because he is scared he has found that by making a lot of noise it makes the bad stuff go away, on a walk if we come across something, maybe a jogger or another dog, he may become a little anxious and he’ll have a big old bark and a bit of a jump around. Thankfully Royce has his lovely walkers, who he now puts his trust in and reacts less and less to the scary stuff, because he knows that we will take care of him, it is literally time and patience with this boy. I tend to give him lots of space from what concerns him and the more he trusts, the less concerned he is
and honestly the look he gives when we are standing to the side waiting for something to pass, Royce has the most expressive eyes and I find myself just wanting to give him big old cuddles and smother him with kisses and I generally do, he has a spot right on his forehead that he adores being kissed
Royce loves sniffing in the long grass, he has been know to drag me through the brambles when he smells something interesting, actually he’s incredibly easy to move in a different direction, for a big dog he rarely pulls, he has no interest in squirrels, deer are a different matter though! they are huge and it is quite strange to see them jumping around in the woods
So as I said our walks always start with cuddles, but they continue throughout our time together, Royce is a boy who craves love and affection and all I have to do is look at him and in he comes for a cuddle, when the weather is fine we spend time in the paddock, where Royce is muzzle free and he happily gives me a face full of kisses
When we return to his room, it’s obviously time for more cuddles and some treats, but I always, always without fail assure Royce that I will be back very soon and honestly that’s all he wants
and of course I will continue to spend time with him and let him know how loved and treasured he is

What a lovely write up by Jude and Alf. You obviously feel exactly how I do about this lovely boy!
Well my message today is a surprising one…
Yesterday Roycie was a role model and a support dog to another pooch at the kennels.
Roycie isn’t always a very sociable chap when it comes to other dogs. But yesterday dear little Betty Staffie was out walking and happened to be quite nearby to Royce and me. He seemed unfazed by her completely and it turns out she is a dog that needs a walking partner to be motivated to go on a walk.
So before we knew it, Roycie was leading Betty up the lane and being a therapy dog for her! So proud of him. As far as I know, Roycie doesn’t usually go on social walks. Certainly never has with me.
Then we were joined by Mika and Trevor terriers who were planning to walk with Betty. So Roycie ended up on a social walk with three other dogs! Amazing progress for my boy. And to think he was helping Betty to feel confident was just amazing.
Goes to show that Royce really has the ability to learn and grow in confidence and trust. He just takes time and support from his human. But this was a fabulous magical walk with him.
Love you Roycie! You gorgeous brindle chunk!

Royce - always ready for a mega cuddle. The most affectionate dog ever.

Took the boy for a long walk to today. He often gives me the side eye as if to say 'are we there yet?'
We always used to go through the village then under the motorway, but the shade of the woodland was more appealing today. We keep the faith for that special home.

Royce took me for a long walk yesterday, which he really enjoyed. We passed several other dogs without any bother, and he even ignored a runner, although we had got off the path. Royce had a nice play and drink in the stream on our way past. This was certainly and easier walk than some.
Re: Royce Cane Corso x Lab DofB 12.2016 RRemedies Centre
Royce loves the sun and enjoys being in the garden of an afternoon and I usually let him be for an hour and half or so. Today I let him out earlier, so as other dogs love the garden too, I went to him after 45 mins. When Royce is avoiding a request his tail does a helicopter mode. Here am I politely requesting he comes in, he goes back to lying in the sun. I've tried beds but he likes to lie on the concrete. Royce knows what he wants and when he wants it...
I revisited him 10 mins later and he immediately got up and pootled in
