Chelsey greated me with delight yesterday when it was walkies time
I slipped as we headed for the paddock and the little look on her face - somewhere between concern for me and eagerness to still get to the paddock !!! I was up in no time so didn’t make her wait

I get such a lovely greeting from Chelsey in her kennel - she loves the sight of the leads, it means it’s time for some fun and probably some treats as well

Well a sit like that deserves some treats xxx

If you want to see what a bundle of pure joy and playful energy looks like at being out of a kennel, then Chelsey's your girl! I joined her for a play in the paddock with another volunteer, who she knew and greeted like a long lost friend. She was totally exhilarated to be out, chasing ball after ball
(after ball ), offering up muddy dead footballs to play tug of war, leaping off the platform, whizzing around like a loon and coming back for more.
She was excellent at playing hunt the treat, even though the muddy paddock was very 'gravy bone' colour - impressive! After letting off steam for about 15 minutes, we clipped her leads on her and walked around the woodland path, where she eagerly pushed on and had a good sniff around everywhere to pick up the local gossip.
She was a good girl going back into her kennel, no doubt building up another lovely helping of energy for her next outing
This happy girl will make an amazing addition to her forever home, bringing a contagious zest for life

Oh Elayne, I'm so glad you got to meet Chelsey! She's the most playful and affectionate dog I've had to joy to know and spend time with, and miss seeing her at Guildford kennels. But I know the Gatwick people are taking very good care of her and it shows in her photos and videos. I LOVE LOVE Chelsey - she is so ready for her forever home xxx

Chelsey and I shared some time in the paddock today. She’s such a playful girl and loved sprinting around the paddock and playing with all the chewed footballs. Chelsey is confident and affectionate which is, I understand, a world away from where she was when she came to RR. Lovely girl with lots of love and joy to share.

My first walk with Chelsey today. We started in the paddock. She's a girl of explosive energy. We couldn't find any whole tennis balls so played with some tennis ball halves and a broken football. Chelsey was enthusiastic about them all.

She's so fast - that lurcher energy shot her round the field. Then we went for a jog together. Wow! when she went so did I - great fun. We finished some barking at the squirrels. Fun, lovely girl.

I had the pleasure of moving Chelsey to the Guildford kennels today for a change of scenery. I have known Chelsey since she first came into the rescue and I love this beautiful girl, once she's your friend she remembers you no matter how long the gap since you last saw her. I had a fantastic Chelsey greeting when I entered her kennel this morning, full on cuddles and kisses. Leads on and out towards the car, she did her business as soon as we got out, her kennel was perfectly clean, then she jumped into the crate in the back of the car and was ready for the off. She travels really well, quietly putting up with her next-door neighbour who spent quite a lot of time shouting at her! At Guildford she gave me more cuddles, leaning in for that extra contact. Come on Chelsey's home, you are so missing out on this wonderful bundle

Chelsey walked like a dream today - we had a nice long walk...

And I got more kisses down the lane

Chelsey was fab around traffic, no reaction at all, and sooo good when a horse and rider trotted by - we’d stood back to give room and Chelsey just watched, such a good girl
She did have one bark at super cool dude Hugh on the lane - Hugh just looked and wondered what the fuss was about

I think a highlight for Chelsey was making a new friend ...
A lady pulled in to the lane next to the kennels and couldn’t keep her eyes off Chelsey, mouthing she’s beautiful through her window !!! So much so she stopped her car and asked if she could say hi and the pics I think say how happy it made them both today

I love how dogs can make people so instantly happy
