Thought I should let you know about my latest meeting up with vets. On Monday I went to this hospital in Guildford. It's apparently been on television, but I don't watch that programme. I was there all day and I didn't like it. Everyone was very nice and said I was a very sweet little dog and very well behaved, which I am and was. But when Mum and Dad left me I had to put up with a blood test and something stuck in my leg and then I fell asleep. When I woke up I was a bit confused and when Mum and Dad came to take me home I wasn't sure who they were at first. But then I got home and cuddled up with them on the settee and everything was alright again. It seems that when I was asleep I had the CAT scan thing which took lots of pictures of my insides. Yesterday morning I felt a lot like my old self and let Mum hand feed me little bits of corned beef and tongue and cheese. I have managed to persuade Mum and Dad to feed me human food instead of dog food which I have rather gone off.
Anyway, now they've got all the pictures of my insides, I have decided not to go to vet's ever again. I think I'm going to the White Hart at lunchtime today which will be nice.
PS Dad got a couple of emails from the hospital yesterday and he and Mum looked very serious and a bit sad. But I can't read so I don't know what was in them. Mum and Dad have said that I won't have to go back to the hospital or to the vet which makes me very happy.

I'm feeling quite a lot better, now that I have recovered from my visit to the vet hospital. I am still a bit tired at times and don't want to walk as far sometimes, so Dad and I turn around at a house called Tanglewood, which is halfway to the village, and come home, rather than go all the way for the paper in the morning with Mum. I feel that I am doing Dad a favour too, 'cos I used to worry about him having to walk too far as he is really quite old. I am enjoying the nice food that Mum cooks for me in the evening and the tongue and corned beef that I get for breakfast.
I had lunch with my Aunties yesterday at the White Hart and had lots of chips. I'm glad that they've stopped not giving me chips! Mum and Dad had lamb for supper last night and I had the leftovers this morning. I really like lamb. Dad says it's my corgi blood that gives me a taste for sheep. I keep telling him that I am a Jack Russell, not a corgi. But he just says that I am from Wales and just look at my ears. Hugh!
More next week.

So glad you are feeling a bit better Flint. Good to hear you are keeping an eye on your Dad and escorting him safely home! Getting older can be tricky and sometimes we get ailments and we can't do much about that. However, there are always good days to be had and lots of treats. Chips at the pub?! Well done sir, well done, keep it up! bravo1.gif

Remember I told you that I had trained Mum and Dad to give me human food? Well, a few days after I came home from hospital, Mum started to feed me some little bits of sausage at teatime. They are very tasty and I have found that my appetite has returned to how it was before I felt ill. So, now, I really look forward to meal times. There must be something in the sausage!
The other day I had a super wheeze. Because I had been eating up with such enthusiasm, Mum and Dad decided to try me back on dog food. They heated it up and put it down for my tea. I sniffed at it suspiciously and, looking pathetically up at them, declining to eat it. They immediately cooked me up some lamb mince and biscuits, which was much better and I cleared my plate before returning to the sofa. But the best bit was that, later on when they were watching television, I went back to the kitchen and ate up all the dog food. Hee hee. Don't reckon that I'll get away with that too often!

You are a special little lad who always keeps us laughing and happy with most of your blogs. Keep it up fella you deserve it. Much love xxxxxxxxxx Kiss of love.gif

Nothing much has been happening since I last wrote. The weather has been a bit dull and not very exciting and I don't go for as long walks as I used to, so I haven't seen any new dogs on my estate. Dad and I still go down as far as Tanglewood with Mum in the morning but then we come home and she goes on and gets the paper.
The puppies are still around and sit at their window and bark at us when we go past. I ignore them (although, a week or so back, we came across them loose at the top of our parking slope. I pulled the lead out of Dad's hand and the 3 of us had a great set to. They ran off, well and truly defeated, despite superior numbers, and I went back to Dad - the field was ours!!).
We went to the White Hart for lunch yesterday and met my Auntie Sue (R) and my Auntie Myra. It was very nice, there were lots of other people there and I got lots of chips and even some little poppadums from Auntie Myra.
I'm still enjoying lots of lovely home cooked food (some even cooked by Dad, who does NOT do cooking normally) and am looking forward to lots of Christmas pheasant, chicken and sausages.
I wish all my fans a Very Merry Christmas and will be back in the New Year.

Just a quick note to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I had a super Christmas with lots of chicken, pheasant and sausages. I like Christmas.
Yesterday we had lunch at the White Hart with my Aunties. Mum and Auntie Myra couldn't finish their pheasant breasts, so they put the bits they had left in a napkin and I had pheasant for tea. I have quite sophisticated tastes, you know.
Hope all my fans had a good Christmas and, if they have any turkey, chicken, sausages or ham leftovers that they can't find a home for, you can always send them to me!
