Blaze Mastiff x Staffie DOB 2013 - July 2022
Current Status: Homed
Sarah and her sons David and Peter as sadly missing Blaze after 7 wonderful years Blaze's Thread below:
Blaze Needs:- his family to offer him further training and support as he settles into a new life and makes the necessary adjustments. Blaze would enjoy a secure garden with lots of opportunity to enjoy the outside life and continue his socialisation with other dogs. Blaze may settle with live in cats as before but is quite interested on the street! Blaze would settle with live in children providing they were respectful of him. Could be first time dog owners dog.
NB Our Rescue asks owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters, as dog law changes place dog's lives at greater risk.
Known background: Owners evicted and bailiffs found Blaze in the house with 13 cats, a budgie and 3 guinea pigs when they broke in. Blaze went into foster was passed on without knowledge of the Housing Dept then passed back at the council offices with no kennels available anywhere on a Sunday…so we took him in and offered him a Rescue place. Blaze will be neutered, chipped and vaccinated. Blaze is currently in boarding kennels in Godstone with weekend foster.
About Blaze: Blaze will set your heart ablaze! Smiley when he has little to smile about; friendly when he is meeting one stranger after another. Calm in his meetings with other dogs and respectful of them. Blaze feels easy.. in management, command, walking, around food, and has a very loyal energy towards who ever he is with. Talk of the town!
Blaze is a 18 month medium sized crossbreed with an flame orange brindle coat with white chest. We guess Blaze to be a cross between Staffie and Mastiff and has all the special qualities of both breeds: A lovely cross and often sought after, for good reasons. Blaze is a special boy and his family will be very lucky when they find him!

I grabbed my chance to walk the very handsome Blaze today and I have to say he is rather special
Walks very nicely on the lead and sits by your side without asking.
We went into the paddock and he wasn't bothered about chasing the ball, would much rather have cuddles - suits me
Lovely lad, what more can I say

Blaze was very pleased and waggy-tailed when I went into his kennel today. I told him to sit which he obediently did while I put on his harness and lead and then we were off. He's a big, strong dog but so well-natured and doesn't pull on the lead. We saw bunnies in the distance and he was interested but didn't go mad.
When I sat down in the field he just wanted a stroke and a cuddle - which is just what he got. A lovely dog who will soon have a proper owner I'm sure.

I have had a couple of walks with Blaze recently and yes he has set my heart ablaze...(sorry couldn't resist  ).
As others have said he is a special boy. So beautiful with eyes that just make me melt. He loves a cuddle, enjoys his walks and is so easy to get in and out of his kennel. He would make a great family pet.

Would you like to walk our lovely dogs too?
