If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our Dog Homing Questionnaire. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £300 (£500 for a pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Buddy's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: Urgent call Police called to home and would take in but happy to release to responsible Rescue providing Buddy is made safe within days due to Social Worker's safeguarding issues.

Buddy was happy to take some chicken from me but otherwise looks so confused and anxious. Let's hope the walkers and staff work their magic and he starts to feel more settled soon.

Buddy is doing really well bonding with staff. He doesn’t take long to become your friend and seems to love human affection of the people he trusts. He’s already come on so much in the short time he’s been with us!

Buddy is doing so well. I took him for small walk today and we went into the paddock first so Buddy could have a sniff around. I don’t think he was too keen on the mud but still had a good look around. He loves to play ball and will bring the ball back to your feet. We then went for a little walk and he happily said hello to some of the walkers. He took treats gently from them and loved to get some attention. Buddy is a lovely boy and I look forward to seeing him settle in more and see more of his personality shine through.

Buddy is doing really well, less frightened and happy to be making friends. He loves his new friends among the staff, and is excited when he sees them coming to take him out for a walk. He loves being out and about and I have joined the staff for 3 walks with the lovely Buddy. He regularly looks for reassurance from his walker, nudging their leg to stop for cuddles. You see his tail wag and Buddy having a good sniff about.

I got to take lovely new boy Buddy out today and what a little sweetie he is
I’d previously said hello and had cuddles with him when he’s been out on walks with staff and so when I saw he hadn’t yet been walked today I asked Lynne if it would be okay if I took him.
He was very easy to muzzle and clip my leads on in the kennel. We took a little stroll around the grounds and to the paddock. Just as Anne has mentioned, he likes to stay very close to you for reassurance.
He loves cuddles and takes treats so gently.
I found him a really easy boy to manage and can’t wait to see him continue to come out of his shell and make lots of new friends.

Had a game of ball with Mr Buddy today
he really is the sweetest little boy who just loves affection.
He said hello to lots of walkers around the kennel grounds who can’t wait to walk him
Back in his kennel he nuzzled into me and so I sat and had the loveliest of cuddles with him.
He’s stolen my heart already!
