If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £300 (£500 for a pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Maggie's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.

Re: Maggie Deerhound Lurcher DofB 6.5.25 RRemedies Centre
I met Maggie this afternoon through her pen door as she very readily snaffled up some treats (chicken, cheese) - I think she liked them! My goodness me this puppy is an absolutely beautiful dog - I just fell in love with her.

Me and another walker had the best time playing with Maggie in the paddock today - she is full of beans and so funny! She’s also super cute and loves a cuddle

Maggie is absolutely adorable!! She is soo people friendly and has great manners for a pup. She was eager to play with other dogs when they passed, and wanted to greet everyone!
She was a joy to be around🩷

Re: Maggie Deerhound Lurcher DofB 6.5.25 Crawley Temp Foster
Online it suggests that a deerhound Lurcher is a 45mph, couch potato. Maggie has been in recovery from her spay op whilst staying with us so hasn’t had the chance to show off her full athletic potential but she certainly has the couch potato box ticked.
We have had the privilege of having Maggie stay with us for a short foster break. She has given us 4 days of cuddles, affection and the only thing she’s loved more than getting attention from her humans, is a cheesy snack!
When out for a walk, she’s not phased by traffic, birds or other dogs at all but she will try and make you stop to say hello to each person she comes across... She's catches everyone's eye! We have been working on boundaries with stop and go at busy roads and trying to deter from the puppy jumping energy by teaching her to politely and calmly ask for tickles instead and she's been doing very well.
Maggie has a beautiful gentle nature and would be a perfect addition to someone’s family.
