I walked Joanne for the first time on my own today so was delighted at how welcoming she was and easy to get ready.
She did pull a bit getting past the dogs to the gate but once out she settled and was very chilled and easy to walk.
We wandered around the grounds then down the lane.
Joanne does like to sniff and potter so we took our time.
I gave her some fuss which she seemed to like.
What a beautiful girl she is.

My second time walking Joanne and she must have remembered me as the welcome was a lot calmer and easier.
Joanne exited really well going straight to the gate.
She waited patiently while I closed the gate and we walked around in the pitch black on the grounds and then down the lane.
I was going to take her back but as we passed the paddock her pace quickened so I let her have a few minutes off lead.
Tried to get pictures but the girl is fast.
All I could see was her eyes.
Joanne is the most beautiful colour and very playful, she definitely likes paddock time even when it’s pitch black.
When we went back she was so good ignoring all the noisy dogs barking at her.
What a beautiful girl you are Joanne.

I walked the beautiful Joanne on Saturday, prior to a planned visit to Pets at Home. We had a lovely walk, she is so affectionate, but when I opened the car boot she didn’t come with me. We will work on that!!! However, she is a gorgeous girl xx

Merry Christmas from Joanne

Joanne loved opening her present in the sunshine Christmas morning. She had a lovely walk and carried her toy back to her kennel! We hope 2026 will be Joanne’s year to find her forever home

Today I had a lovely chilled walk with beautiful Joanne! Joanne can be tricky to harness as she is a little wary of what you are doing and she can be quite excited
She had a lot of toys in her kennel so was easily distracted by a rope toy.
When I first walked Joanne she would always bolt out of the kennel door but she has got very good at waiting and coming out with her walker at the same time
I took the rope toy with me and there was no jumping up at all
Joanne is obsessed with trees both high and low- no tree is out of reach for her
She is very curious of her surroundings but can be nervy of strange objects
She’s a lovely girl but needs more socialising with other people and other dogs.

Gareth and I both walked Joanne together today. She was a good girl coming out of her kennel and we took her straight to the paddock so she could run around. This girl has a lot of energy and can become over excited to which she will jump up, can grab the leads at times but with the right home can be taught how to direct her energy. She will listen when you tell her to sit and we’ve found ignoring her and just trying to move on will focus her attention back on to walking. As many have mentioned Joanne LOVES a stick! She makes us laugh with the huge ones she finds and tries to bring them back with her. Joanne is such a loveable dog and with the right home will really thrive.

I’ve started to walk Joanne in the past week and what a lovely young dog she is. She is bouncy and full of life but also a bit skittish and nervous when faced with new things or something unexpected. Her response when she is nervous is to lie down and back out but I’ve found that allowing her time to think, maybe a slight change in direction or some positive words have helped so far. Thanks to the horrible weather I’ve only walked her into town but I do know that she doesn’t like the mud at all, she does pick up things and try to chew /carry them including discarded bottles and e cigarettes but I was able to get her to leave them by tossing a treat on the floor and walking her away from it. She walks better behind dogs rather than in front and does try to say hello enthusiastically if you get close to them. She is a lovely dog, who needs some time and support to learn about the world and I hope her furever family come along soon to give her the loving home she needs to flourish.
