Phoenix's Story: Phoenix was found abandoned and unclaimed within a Humberside council pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving their lives. Phoenix is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Phoenix came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £300 (£500 for a pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays. Phoenix's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: Pound puller called in tears. Phoenix had been saved by a Rescue and planned to pick them up that morning but have suddenly stated they can no longer take. He was therefore being put to sleep that afternoon, so we stepped forward. Phoenix came into RescueRemedies on the 16th August 25.

Wow, Phoenix. What an absolutely stunning boy you are.
We just had a short walk around the grounds today as Phoenix is very new in so didn’t want to push it, but he seemed quite bulletproof and unphased by everything pretty much. He’s got quite a big personality, I would say goofy is a good word for him. He really enjoyed a good game of ball as well! What a lad, can’t wait to get to know him better.

I have had the pleasure of meeting and walking the stunning Phoenix. He is a lovely, extremely friendly and confident boy who greeted me enthusiastically in his kennel and was happy to have his leads put on. Phoenix didn’t seem phased at all by going for a walk and enjoyed sniffing around, getting to know his new surroundings. He was quite strong on the lead but waited calmly, to the side, each time someone walked past us. He was very excited by water and loved his paddle in the stream - I narrowly managed to avoid joining him in the water!

I met the lovely Phoenix today for the first time and hes a lovely dog! Easy to harness and put the leads on, he had a great time playing with the ball in the paddock- he brings it back and drops it for you to throw again too! He knows sit. He’s a little strong on the lead at times but nothing unmanageable/ he likes a treat so I’m sure can be trained

Well I dont know how everyone else managed to get such lovely photos of this absolutely stunning boy as he is such a live wire. I managed to get a couple of pictures but boy is he fast.
He was ever so easy to get ready and was very happy to be going to the paddock where he was so happy playing with anything and everything including a paddle in the bath.
When it was time to leave he was easy to get leads back on and walked really well albeit a bit quicker than my usual pace.
Phoenix is so full of life and will no doubt be snapped up quickly by one very lucky family.
Thank you Lynne for saving these awesome boys.

This handsome boy is getting quite a fanclub it seems, very cute boy indeed.
Phoenix loves the paddock and water, he is a very happy boy.
He can pull a bit but he is just keen to be out and about enjoying himself.
Still cant get a decent picture as he is too fast for my camera skills but did get this video of him enjoying the pool.

I am very quickly falling head over heels for this boy.
On our walks he hasn’t paid any mind to other dogs which is nice, because he’s very strong when he wants to be. We went to the paddock today and we played ball for a while and he had a splash in the tub. He seems to have some basic training down which is good, and I will try and work on his pulling whilst he’s with us. He’s a joy to be around, such a friendly, playful boy.

This lovely boy is just so entertaining.
Phoenix is easy to get ready and is very enthusiastic to get out for a walk.
When he realised we were going to the paddock he was on a mission to get there as quickly as possible.
He stood patiently while i took off the leads then zoomed around the paddock for a few minutes.
I sat and watched and then he came over to me as I think he wanted to play ball. Phoenix could do this all day.
He then saw the pool so threw himself in it and was playing with the water.
If you had Phoenix around you would have so much fun he really is the loveliest boy.

I met this handsome boy yesterday! And my god is he a lovely dog. He was very calm when I put his harness on in his kennel. We then set off on a walk and had no reaction at all to the dogs we were passing as we left the grounds. He pulled a little to start with but after me telling him to walk slowly he did just that! We went down to the stream where Phoenix was chasing sticks and splashing around. He really is an amazing dog who will make someone very happy!
