If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Farran's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: We were asked to help Farran recover and find him his family when ready

I met darling Farron yesterday and have completely lost my heart to him. He's in a rather sorry state right now, so desperately thin, but oh he did enjoy the little bits of chicken and sausage I gave him. He seems incredibly gentle, and I can't wait to know him better.

Farran was so friendly when I met him today - his tail didn’t stop wagging. He was very grateful for some treats and leaned against me while I stroked him.

Farran led the way on a group walk today. He is so calm and gentle.
He seemed to enjoy being the leader and wasn't worried by passing dogs, people, cyclists or horses.
What a fantastic boy

Farran had a day at the Centre yesterday or did he?
Our Vet squeezed him in to his operation list and due to Sweetie deciding she wasn't going into a crate to also travel to our vets so occupied the entire back area....Farran joined me as co-driver of the dog mobile.
Greyhounds don't naturally relax and sit or lie when countryside is whizzing by. Farran spent the front of the 30 min journey standing! He had a brief period lying but being a sighthound wasn't getting the view he enjoyed. So back on his legs.
He rested his head on my shoulder with his muzzle over my chest and onwards we sped.
Our Vets neutered, clipped his claws and cleaned and polished his teeth.
As his chauffeur I collected him for a passenger seat drive back, and then rejoiced joining his now partner Dezzy in the grass paddock and slept off his day stretched in the grass, under the sun, in the shade with a soft breeze blowing.

Farran enjoyed playing with a ball today. He’s a very sweet-natured dog.
