Ozzie's Story: Ozzie was found abandoned and unclaimed within a London council pound. Ozzie was taken in to offer him rehabilitation and is now ready for his new family. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Ozzie is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Ozzie came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Such a sweet boy love4.gif Ozzie is a loving, energetic young terrier who loves his people. He’s clever and eager to learn—he already knows some commands and he tell me he is excited to learn lots more with his furever family!

He is a wonderful dog and like all our RR terriers has their own quirks, but that makes them more loveable right?! I hope he find his terrier-savvy home soon where he can continue to grow.

Ozzie is learning loose lead walking as he is quite a strong boy when he wants to be. He’s not an offlead dog, so as a treat he gets to have a looser lead in quieter areas of the park far away from other dogs and he loves it! Just look at that smile 😃

Enjoying the sunny garden playing ball with best bud Moira. He is happy to play alongside her as they are bonded, he doesn't attention bark and waits his turn with a spring in his step when catching the ball! 🥎

Working on his handler focus when out of the house.
He is still learning about handler focus and will need a quiet environment where he can build on his confidence as he can loose focus quickly, but with consistency and time he can focus on you very nicely as you can see in the video (especially when a tasty treat or squeaky ball is involved !!)

“Sorry hooms but no room for you!!”

This boy can really stretch! He loves a big sofa to snooze on after a long day of activities, and although he can stretch out as far as physically possible, adores sharing his space with you and will happily curl up next to you for a snuggle and a slobbery kiss!

Ozzie is coming along well and continues to show what a loving boy he is. He’s enjoying spending time in the home with his fellow terrier Moira and very calm spaniel friends who he gets along with. But he really loves nothing more than a play with his ball (just look at the smile!) and chasing pigeons around the garden!

He’s affectionate and looks to his humans for reassurance – always ready for a fuss. Ozzie will need continued support with his reactivity on walks as he does struggle.

He thrives on routine, enjoying his peaceful daily walks and lots of exploring. In the right home, Ozzie will make a devoted and fun little companion. He has a lot of love to give to the right family ❤️

Wonderful little Ozzie (now Sunny) is now homed 🥰

Rebecca and Hetty the JRT came to meet and collect this handsome boy today. Hetty and him were happy to be in one another’s company, sitting side by side for a treat or two!

After a get to know walk and some fuss from Rebecca, he went off on his way to Gloucestershire to start his new life in the countryside.

As his long term fosterer, I could not be happier to see him go off to such a wonderful new home.

We can’t wait to see how you grow and shine little man!

Off he goes!
Off he goes!
