What beautiful pictures of Nigel enjoying his foster break, really showcasing what a lovely and well behaved boy he is.
We had a great walk today around the grounds then along the lane, as everyone has said he is a gentle soul , so chilled and easy to walk despite being a big boy.
No pulling, listening to instructions change of direction with ease.
I don’t usually walk him as he is usually allocated so such a pleasure to spend some time with Nigel today and he has stolen my heart.
Would be great to see him settled in a home of his own.

Nigel and I had a lovely time in the paddock today, he doesn’t like to venture too far with me but always leads me to the paddock. He had a run around but we spent most of the time cuddling and he got butt scratches. He is the most gentle boy and I enjoy spending time with him but he deserves a home & sofa of his own.

Cuteness overload from Nigel last week. Anyone who’s read my previous posts about him knows how much I love this boy! He’s such a dream to walk, walks so well on the lead and loves to just plod along and explore, stopping every now and then for a cuddle, and your guarantied a little kiss on the ear. I love our walks together and I enjoy every second I get to spend with this special boy ❤️ He’s also super easy to harness and always welcomes you with so much love when you enter his kennel, he’s just so happy to see you each and every time.

I had the pleasure of walking Nigel today, and what a magnificent, gentle soul he is! Harnessing him was super easy, and on the walk, he was a total dream. He just plods gently along on a loose leash with absolutely no pulling. Even meeting me for the first time, he was incredibly friendly and sweet. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt this beautiful boy is going to be covered in endless hugs and happy licks!

He was enjoying it so much he went into a fast trot here it was really cute so I went a long with it, but the minute I stopped going fast you can see he instantly matches my slower pace, he’s so responsive on the lead and so considerate:

On Saturday I took Nigel to a secure field and he had the best time, I did too, I love day trips with Nigel! The sun was shining so he was very happy. He loves the freedom of a secure field being able to stretch his legs and explore, but he always checks back in with me when he’s exploring and if I walk the other way he runs over to me. He’s just so happy and engaged with you, if I start running or being silly he will do the same, he’s just so up for bonding.
He loved the long lush grass and was having so much fun rolling in it, he also liked grazing the grass too. Nigel loves to use his nose so we also did a little treat hunt on some logs for some mental stimulation, which he really enjoys, I love the little noises he makes when his nose is in action it’s so cute.
As always he was just perfect in the car, so happy to sit and watch everything or lie down. Once we got back to RR I gave him a good shower as he got a bit muddy rolling around and he was so easy to shower and towel dry.
It’s so refreshing spending time with such an innocent sweet natured soul. I just cannot tell you how much I love this boy, and I so hope he finds his forever home soon, he so deserves it and I know he will bring so much joy and love into someone’s life!

Nigel was such a good boy today on his walk. He is easy to harness and leave his kennel (he can sometimes react to the dogs) but once out on a walk he’s one of the easiest dogs to walk. He just plods along at his own pace and doesn’t pull at all. He’s a lovely, gentle boy who needs his forever home this Christmas! 💙

On Sunday I took Nigel to a secure field again because he enjoyed it so much last weekend. My mum came with me and she hadn’t met Nigel before, so they met outside the car and when he got in the car he couldn’t stop trying to kiss her, particularly her ear! He just loves people, and is so warm and welcoming even on the first meet, he’s so so full of love.
He had a great time in the field as usual, lots of exploring, running about, treat hunts, rolling, and lots and lots of cuddles!
On our way back we got a take away coffee and sat in the woods on a log to drink it - when we got out the car in the woods Nigel was up for a good sniff around to suss out the environment and once he had his sniff he was very happy sitting next to us and just watching the leaves fall from the trees, he’s such a chiller, it was a lovely moment of stillness. I was very impressed how well he can just sit and do nothing, something my own dogs always struggle with. I feel like you can just plot up anywhere with Nigel and just hang out, he just loves being in your company and that’s enough for him. He loved my mum and was so sweet with her, and she absolutely adored him too, how could you not!
Once back in the car he was very sleepy and lay down most the way back to RR. I gave him a good shower to get the mud off from rolling, and he looked so beautiful and shiny after. When I put him back in his kennel he was very happy and just wanted loads of cuddles, which makes me very sad because after a day trip like that I know all he wants is to cuddle up with you on a sofa and have a nap… I would have loved that too. He so deserves to have a home of his own where he can do this, he’s so full of love and has the sweetest purest soul, he just needs a family to share that love with, and somewhere warm and comfy where he can snooze all day!

I met and walked Nigel today - he puts the Gentle in Gentleman. He even shook my hand to welcome me to his kennel 😂. A gentle giant, plods along very happily and loose lead. He has the taste for many things on the ground but if you say ‘leave’ firmly he responds very well. A cat came hurtling towards us today and he didn’t even flinch - I flinched way more! A sweet and very friendly boy. A pleasure to walk and can’t wait to get him out more.
