Henry's Story: Henry was found abandoned and unclaimed within a council pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Henry is now neutered, chipped, and undergo vaccinations. Henry came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Little Henry is now neutered. The Vets loved him and we think older so 4-5 years old. Such a gentleman. 51kilos before neuter (and probably 49 kilos after! Henry was well endowered).

Sat for all the vet staff and offered his paw whilst they injected him..l o v e l y man

Wow! What a boy!!
I met Henry today and fell for his charm!
He’s such a softie. He greeted me happily and I harnessed him up without any trouble at all. We went for a walk and he was perfectly behaved and very easy to walk on slack leads. He was a little nervous but looks to you for confidence and I felt that he trusted me and knew he would be ok.
He loves a fuss and really leans in to you for a cuddle. He knew sit and gave me his paw. Bless him. Such a lovely big boy

He is a wonderful, happy, gentle dog. He welcomed me in his kennel and wanted a fuss and cuddle before we set off.
He walks beautifully, no pulling and enjoyed plenty of sniffs and cuddles along the way.
He will make some lucky family very happy.

I met the dashing Henry for the first time today and i am in love with him.

He was happy for me to put his harness and leads on and off we went.
Henry is just so chilled out, he definitely looks at his walker for reassurance.
We saw a couple of dogs when we were out and there was a small grumble and interest but he didn’t pull to get to them.
He has a poorly tum at the moment so no treats and despite this i was able to hold his attention easily and distract him on the couple of occasions until i had the measure of him.
Henry is already very popular and i can see why, his gentle nature and soppy personality which will hopefully get him into a home of his own soon.
