Isla's Story: Isla was found abandoned in a premises with her daughter, after her owners were evicted. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Isla is now neutered, chipped, and is fully vaccinated. Isla came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Isla's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: We were asked to help Isla and her daughter. We have yet to find space to accommodate her daughter who is safely kennelled.
Isla came into RescueRemedies on the 6th March 25

The very lovely Isla did so well at the Vet today when she was spayed. A sweet love indeed and she was made such a fuss of by the Vet Staff. Isla is fully vaccinated and now spay so defo ready for her home!

I met Isla when she first came in and walked her again on Saturday and she has completely stolen my heart. Her confidence is growing and she enjoyed walking with some of our other dogs. She really is a gentle soul

Isla had my heart from the moment I met her! I’ve never met such a cuddly, loving dog who just wants some human affection. Like her daughter Jasmine, she can be a bit nervous if she doesn’t know you but she doesn’t seem to take too long to come round. She walked lovely for our long walk, occasionally stopping to jump up for a little cuddle then carried on walking. I’d easily take her home if I could. She really does deserve a loving and forever home

Lovely Isla was met today by Helen & Simon and their adult son Nathan. Beks will share all but it was wonderful to see the L O V E and share the L O V E

Hi
We thought we would give you an update on Isla's progress since she found her forever home with us on the 6th April
Following a very well behaved journey back to Guildford, on the Sunday, Isla is settling in really well. She is getting used to her usual walking routine, and slowly getting used to visitors to the house. She is still and understandably, weary of new faces, as they come to the house. She has learnt to tell us if she needs the garden for her toilet, following an accident on her first morning with us, ( again very understandable). She still very much has a puppy streak in her as she regularly does 'Zommies' in the garden. Toys unfortunately haven't lasted long. We brought her a toy elephant on her journey home, and that lasted 2 days. We then brought her a supposed indestructible toy, online , which lasted less than 5 minutes on arrival. She loves her Kong and has been playing football today (or mouth ball!!) She really does have a loving nature and very much starting to come out of her shell. We will keep you updated on her progress and I will upload some photos (once I have learnt how to!)
Thank you for giving us the opportunity of adopting her. She has such a loving nature, but also a massive thank you for you and all the volunteers whom give all these dogs a second chance at happiness
