Cody's Story: Cody was dumped in a Vet reception and owners walked off he was emaciated. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Cody is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Cody came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Cody's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.

Cody came out of his kennel with vigor and excitement not appreciating he was leaving it all behind.
Cody greeted Wendy and Mathew like long-lost friends and then went into entertainment mode as we started our walk

Our beautiful boy Cody had a very settled first night and is doing well. We took him to the beach last night and the water went over his paws which he was intrigued by.
Cody loves the garden and has picked his favoured pee and poo spots on the lawn so all good. Bit of a work surface hoover we have discovered is our Cody but with a little help he is a quick learner so shouldn't be a problem.
We are very grateful to Lynne for allowing us to become Cody's mum and dad and look forward to many adventures to come with Cody. xxx

What a difference a week makes. Cody has gone from a cheeky hooligan to learning manners and loving being in a routine with us. We had a few accidents indoors for the first few days and a chunk of wallpaper in the hall met with a Cody chomp along with the corner of the shoe box but other than that everything else has survived. Cody now let's us know he needs to go out to the garden and no more accidents. Playing ball is one of Cody's favourite things to do and we usually spend about half hour every day until he gets tired and then doesn't bring the ball back. The other favourite is killing his teddy though he only shakes it and hasn't ripped it so far. :crossfingers.gif:
Out and about Cody is learning really quickly how to walk nicely and we now use either a short lead or an extending lead depending where we go. Cody loves saying hello to other dogs with the obligatory botty sniff but once the pleasantries have been exchanged Cody just wants to continue with his walk.
We love Cody so much and he makes us laugh so m7ch with the goofy things he does
