Reggie's Story: Reggie has been living in a kennel for the past 6 years, without attempts to find him a family: Due to landlord's insistence Reggie needed a Rescue Place. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Reggie Is now neutered, had a dental, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Reggie came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Reggie's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: We received a call by a support of the previous owner desperately trying to find a Rescue place for little Reggie Reggie came into RescueRemedies on the 8th February 2025

Had a lovely walk with this little lad today. He is a sprightly boy, keen to get out and explore. He enjoys sniffing but when not can go at pace. Happy to have a head scratch and of course a few pieces of sausage. Sweet boy. Will definitely be on my walking list.

Reggie out for a walk with Dani on Sunday. He seemed very sweet, good natured and wasn’t phased at all by other dogs or new people. Happy little dog

What a little star! Walked Reggie for first time, let me pick him up and carried out of the kennels past the big dogs and over the worst of the muddy bits to the paddock. Then we set off on our long walk into town, he’s a busy little guy, walks really well no pulling, no barking very chilled.

Reggie helped me with the induction of a new walker on Tuesday. It was the first time I had met him as well and Molly and I were both smitten as soon as we saw this teeny boy. Reggie is very small, he was also very sweet. An absolute doddle to get out and very happy to enjoy a walk in some rare sunshine. His background means he has had very limited experience of human interaction but he presents as a friendly happy little chap, I believe he wasn't a huge fan of the vet the other day
but he was a complete sweetheart with us
